    Total Control car relay plugin

Not sure how useful most of this will be to the non VB programming end user but Ive written a plugin that controls a PCM-3724 PC/104 48-bit Digital IO module driving a OPTO 22 G4PB16 populated with 16 G4ODC5.
The plugin utilizes a base road runner plugin with a skin of an F430 Ferarri to control the following car functions.

    Pop doors Driver & Passenger
    Pop Hood and Trunk
    Roll Windows Up and Down
    Parking Lights
Driving Lights ( also trips Parking light relay)
    Lock/Unlock door
Switch to Interior Controls ( no implemented yet)
    Home and Exit

The skin is designed for the Blue D skin but I might change to another one.

Also you can find the PSD file in case you wish to use this on another car relay control skin.. (probably the most useful part to most on this board.)

Find the source code and plugin here

and here is a sample screen in case you just curious what the skin looks like.

    Car Control

That is SLICK! I have been wanting to do something like this in my car for a while now. Can you give a few more details on the interface and relay system you used?

I took inspiration from your image, and started to work on a screen for my car as well. If you are interested in the PSD just drop me a PM.

Here is what I have so far: (It was a PAIN as I could not find any door lock icons, windows icons ect, and had to create them from scratch.

One great advantage of this layout, is the pressable button area for the hood, doors and trunk, extends into the image, so touching a door, or the hood ect, will open it. In my case however, I cant open my dorrs or hood with the push of a button

EDIT: Woah! I just read your page! I used to own a Fiero, and loved that car! I always wanted to mod it with the Ferrari body kit! I never did....but say one that you could hardly tell it was not a Ferrari, until you actually oipened the door and saw the console and dash. about a week ago I saw a 88 Fiero for sale on the corner, and called the number, and he had JUST sold it, and didnt even have time to go get the car off the corner! Rats! Day late and a dollar short as usual. I would love to see some pictures of your modifications.

Here are a couple pics I snapped of the one I saw that was modded:

    Im using

Im using a VersaLogic Pc104 form factor PC Pentium 3 850 mhz called jaguar.. This pc has a pc104 48 bit IO board attached to it that uses a 50 pin cable to drive an OPTo 22 module rack.. The web address is www.opto22.com I chose to go this route for a number of reasons. One i was going to control a ton of relays with it and so each of my two boards can handle 16 digital input and outputs and because its 'industrial' equipment its designed to be tough and as i dont plan to install any backup controls in easy to reach places, I wanted that reliabilty. Please note I will have controls for important driver functions like turning the lights on and off should my pc or its bits fail.

I like your icons alot John, Id be interested in incorporating them into my personal one if you would be so kind as to share. Thanks!
