    I really like this...But... Traffic.com is missing some of the cities I frquently travel through.
    This msn link has several additional cities (such as Memphis)
    No doubt there are other links as well.

    So.. Would it be easy/possible to use this (or other) links also.

    Thanks...Paul

    Work great. Instead of having this traffic thing locate inside particular skin, you can try this.
    - Extract the "Traffic" folder inside RoadRunner folder just like weather folder (C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Traffic\). Do the same for the flash file (C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Traffic.swf).
    - Add this line to ExectTBL.ini file "TRAFFIC","LOAD;TrafficMaps.skin||RUN;C:\Progr am Files\Road Runner\Traffic\traffic data updater.exe" Do this only if you want to use "TRAFFIC" as a command, unless yoiu want to add that line to every skin you use.
    - In TrafficMaps.skin file simply add the flash movie
    Code:
    /, F, x, y, w, h, Movie name
    F01,140,70,655,340,"..\..\Traffic.swf"
    Okay, the called to Traffic.swf file is using "relative path" instead of direct path like this.
    C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\My_Skin\TrafficMaps.skin

    Okay you ask, Why the hell do I have to go to all this trouble?
    Well, with this configuration, I only need to have 1 traffic folder and 1 traffic.swf file in the system instead of one set on every skin use.

    <wishfull thinking>
    If you could make the fash file to change color via ini file or release the fla, that would be great (although I have no clue on working with flash).

    That's a great find. I was so caught up trying to make it interactive , I forgot to look at keeping it clean, too. Could you add a quick explanation of this and how it can be applied to other add-ins/plug-ins to the Skin Tweaks Thread

    Refresh

    So I put together this little code in AutoIt to change the location via a button in RR but the .swf won't update until I restart RR. Is there a way to force RR to release it and grab it again?

    Note: Code written after moving files as Matrix explained

    Code:
    Global $cmdlineraw
    $RR_Path = RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RoadRunner\Install", "InstallFolder")
    iniwrite("traffic.ini","MyCity","City",$cmdlineraw);
    filedelete(""&$RR_Path&"\traffic\basemap.swf");
    filedelete(""&$RR_Path&"\traffic\digital_segments.swf");
    run("traffic data updater.exe");]
    A button in the skin sends: San-Francisco-Traffic etc. to the .exe

    If you made the page discardable, you don't have to reload RR just the page. You also have to delete the other two files I mentioned earlier. Try adding the following to the button code : "

    ||main||LOAD;TrafficMaps.skin||RUN;C:\Progr am Files\Road Runner\Traffic\traffic data updater.exe"

    This will quickly jump from the traffic screen to the main menu and back and also run the updater the second time. Ugly, but Should work.

    If you add the line /discardable to the skin it should update it after you exit the screen and go back.

    ** after some thought I think the problem might be because the exe did not finish downloading the updated swf and xml files. Try using RUNW instead of RUN.

    I just thought of another way. You should have a wait skin in your skins folder. You could jump to that instead of main and then back to traffic. That would look much more professional.
