RRCam 2.0 Final

Lots of changes!

Here is a paste from the changes.txt file. THese are just changes since the 2.0 beta release:

-added minimized and normal startup options
-added minimize and maximize com messages
-Added border to make it a bit more user friendly when run outside of RoadRunner
-Added '-minimize' command line switch
-Added a setting to detect (and kill, if deisred) multiple instances of RRCam, so that only one will be running at any time
-Fixed bug so that window messages/commands no longer have to be all uppercase
-Added support to resize based on skin settings in general.ini. Note that if your skin isnt displaying at a multiple of your camera resolution, you will have grey bars on either side of the video window. IE: If your camera is 800x600, and you set your skin to display at 1024x768, there wont be any problems, but if you try 1280x800, there will be bars on either side.

-Added support for touching the video window, etc. There are two sets of settings in the config. One is for while RRCam is in normal skin mode, the other is for when it is in fullscreen mode. You can set which actions you want RRCam to perform while in either mode, when either a single click is detected, or a click and hold. BY default, a single click takes in and out of fullscreen mode, and a click and hold takes a still picture of the video and saves it.

-Added VIDEOWIDTH and VIDEOHEIGHT com messages to set the video display area of RRCam.

-RRCam now defualts to testmode when started without RoadRunner running.

-files and length in recording in config.ini

-EXIT command changedto PREPEXIT, because now it just prepares RRCam to be closed. you need to use RoadRUnners CLOSEWINDOW command to actually close the program.

-Added MOVE;X;Y command, where X and Y are the window postion for RRCam, in pixels
-Added POSITION to ini files, where it is position=x,y for startup position

There are still more things to do, but I wanted to get this released for you guys =]

The overlay is exellent and is why i would prefer this plugin over Capture.

I am in the car for two hours a day, and i see alot of eejits on the road, and some things you wouldnt believe ! , What i would like to be able to do is have a recording buffer and only save a file after i have seen an incident, i have tried the settings in the ini but they dont seem to do anything as yet.

maybe i can achieve what i want using the idle and timer commands to record small clips and set a button to copy the file into an archive directory but thats about the limits of my skill.

When launching the program shows image of cinergy 600 and not my webcam

Can I fix?

Just press the record button whenever you see an accident, and it should record. or you could make an autoit script to copy the latest file to the archive directory whenever you press the button. then just change the command line in the config.ini for the button command to run the program.

No idea man.. sounds like an issue with your camera settings. or is the cinergy 600 a capture card?

Resolved..
to the windows control panel, audio devices, disabled cinergy tv capture, then I restarted windows, open rrcam and worked with camera....

I enabled again cinergy TV capture and restarted windows..

Hours everything ok


I have other problem..
I change the font written at the top, with the song listening

I see too small and black

How can I do?

That is something i need to fix in the skin. here it is for anyone that has already downloaded it.. just paste everything below in to the rrcam.skin file. im also going to update the zip file in the first post to include it for anyone that hasnt already installed the latest..

Hi Inh thanx for the wonderful software

Well i am still having difficulty in configuring this.....
BAsically i am using DFx skin at 1024 x 786 res....
And am trying to use the in built PNG files for RR along with its buttons....
and all i could figure out is the 3 buttons
---Record, Snap shot and Mirror ( working fine )
---Overlay, Custom text and Date/time ( not able to configure )

Also the Active viewing area is not in the correct position and CHANGING the Config is not doing any change......

So you tried changing the position settings in the config file and it didnt work?
Are you using the latest DFX skin, and are you trying to use the skin that comes with DFX, or the skin in the latest release of RRCam?

To set custom text, you just need to change it in the config file, and also make sure that it is set to display. Under the General section, you need to set these accordingly to get the text to display

Set them to True to get the text to display
