well that wouldnt be up to me unfortunately because the web service i'm obtaining data from sets the parameters i need to pass to it to work. That being said the zipcode is in "string" form instead of "integer" for so i'm assuming its built that way to be able to use canadian zip codes. I'll definitely test that prior to release.

i didnt know freeway did it. Is Oero even still around. I'd love to peak at his source, even though i believe he's working in C isnt he? I'm about a 3rd of the way there doing this in vb6. I'm able to send the data but some reason i'm not getting anything back, no data, no errors, nothing. So i've got my work cut out for me. But i'm putting hours into it daily so a solution should be just around the corner.

I have done the traffic cams and UK petrol in VB6 so I might be able to help.

I have had a brief look at the UK sites for Cinema, found one that seem to be national but the page was info overload when I had a quick glance at it

Doesn't freeway use Centrafuse style skins, not RoadRunner ones.

i'll take a look a that source right after lunch.. this could save me oodles of time!

so freeway was first done in vb6? then he moved on to C#? I've got the VB source but i'm pretty much stabbin in the dark because i cant run the exe without all the other installation depencies... thus icant see how it works. I admit that his code for doing this appears ALOT more simple than what i was trying to do. basically pulling the data from yahoo's wap site instead of a web service. Does anyone have a working copy of the VB freeway installation?

ok coming along well.. here's the first screenshot. Movies are displayed in a bmv skin file in a custom list. selecting a movie and clicking on the info button ( the eject button on my sample skin) will bring up a pop up screen giving showtimes and movie desciption. The only thing missing would be movie art and i dont think thats gonna be available unfortunately.



hey guino... i dunno if ur paying attention to this thread, but is it possible via the extension plugin to click on a custom list descip. and run a command ?

for you canadians i tested some canadian zip codes with mixed results, the zip codes were sent correctly, but some of the zip codes showed no movie theaters. For instance S0H 0N0 brought up no theaters. Not sure whats up with that but thats a yahoo thing.. has nothing to do with my script.

Not if I remember right. I thought the goal was to be able to integrate RR skins with out much problem. Maybe Im wrong, who cares...

How about a theater listing. Kind of like a directory structure. Click on theaters then will list movies then showtimes.
