Sounds like it's coming along quite nicely! Do you have a rough estimate of when this new version will be released? I don't mean to rush you but the anticipation is killing me!

ok I tried searching for "blank list", "list", and "browse mode" but I have been unable to find my answer...
so here's my question...
On my laptop I use to work on roadrunner when I choose to browse with any of the types available: Song Title, Artist, Genre, etc...the playlist populates with the correct information everytime...
Now on my carpc running the same version of everything (RR, Winamp, same RRMedia Installer), after the DB is made and I choose "Browse Mode" every option, except Folders, returns a blank list. If I browse by Folders I can see everything on the list. Using any other browsing criteria, Song Title, Artist, etc, the list comes back blank....
any ideas as to why the Browse Mode works perfectly on one PC but not the other?
I'm not blaming your plugin...I'm just trying to figure out why its doing this...thanks in advance!!!
I noticed a new Smilie and I have to use it...![]()

Sounds like you're having the same database building problem as I am. Check the size of the RRMediaDB.db file in your music path. If it's around 32kB, it means it's empty and the database didn't build properly. Some people have said this could be due to invalid characters in the ID3 tags. I've tried putting a single MP3 with ID3 tags with nothing but letters and numbers (no spaces, even), and my database wouldn't build correctly. It will say the build completed successfully but nothing shows up in the library.
I've tried everything I could think of to get my DB to build and I haven't had much luck. Since you said it works fine with one computer and not another, I'm thinking it might be a hardware/driver/configuration issue. The new builder is supposed to be better than the current one, and with a possibility of it being released very soon, it might be more worthwhile to wait for it and see if it works for your carputer.

X10... Some good news as to that file you sent me. Not only does the new builder not crash on it, it actually got imported into the db..![]()
