Why should an error message pop up when you add a song to an empty disk?
Arn't they all empty at some point.?
Since I have you on the line, is it possible to call a pop up when you try to add a song already on the disk?

You must not current with the added cmds in v1.1....As it was put in as a request, I added it to the v1.1 (last in the list for added things).

But sorta my fault for not also place the custom called cmd when that does occur. Its in the docs though...

The cmd used is "RM_SSNA" (aka Some Songs Not Added), also in the demo skin you will find the associated cmd in the skins exectbl.ini file that calls up a menu type skin to tell you that not all of the selection was added because of duplicates were already on disk.

brake it again? I don't know about that...i've been testing .... testing... for dare i say close to the 1 year mark...

But go right ahead and if you think you can, break it...lol Then I'll be right behind with my bucket-O-tools and fix'r back to new.

Everything seems to be working as designed.... However, remember our exchange earlier in this thread, which ended with you making the following statement:

I am now trying to accomplish that -- but I am confused. If I put a playlist I created in an application on my main computer and copy it into my playlist folder, I can load said playlist without a problem (assuming I got the path's right). BUT.... There isn't any link between the playlist and the DB (for example, if I change the rating of a song loaded by the playlist -- it doesn't get saved). So does using the playlist 2 disk cmd create a link between the DB and the playlist? If not, how does the data in a disk get stored? By it's path? I'm not really sure what gets saved, as after doing a playlist 2 disk -- the songs can't be found when I load the playlist from the disk (yes, they're in the DB and on the disk).

I'm just trying to figure out how things work, so I can optimize importing my music files into the DB (ratings and all).
