I updated to v 1.2.2 (full, clean install but using the DB from 1.2), and now seem to be having problems with track names with underscores in them:
12/10/2008 1:11:06 AM: RRMedia Builder> C:\Audio\Bear vs. Shark\Terrorhawk\13 Heard Iron Bug, _They're Coming T.mp3
12/10/2008 1:11:06 AM: RRMedia Builder> near "They": syntax error
Edit: Actually, in the tag info, that's a quotation mark, which may actually be the problem:
Track name: Heard Iron Bug, "They're Coming To Town"
perhaps my installation is not correct, or i missunderstood how the RRMedia works.
i thought that...
1) if a song is rated... the number of stars i rated this song is always showing if the song is playing.
2) if i push a button like "LOAD 4 STAR LIST" it shows me a list with all 4star selected songs.same for 3stars or 5 or 2.
3) the next is the virtual playlist, i can use 10 different virtual playlists...how can i see what songs are in the playlist.
please help a dummie german.
2) Correct, it plays which ever rated list you selected, but going by your first one, sounds like you have an issue somewhere.
3) The 10 virt playlists are really just the last 10 playlists(ie rotating history if you will) you have listen to.
Are you using the newest version, the 1.2.0 did have a non functioning rating system.
i'll just add that you need to make sure that yoru exectbl.ini includes the following line:

thanks for answering,
i have installed the version 18.104.22.168
the onsongstart is written in the exectbl.ini. (i make a copy of the exectbl.ini from blues RRMEdia skin)
with this skin i had the same problem, no showing stars if the song selected again. only the time when the song is playing and i rate him.
its a hardcopy whats going on if i rate a song and play it again, maybe it helps.
Really nice to get debug SC w/o even asking for it!! Also funny that, that is the first time that someone posted that....
Other suggestion would be to run the 1.1 db updater an see if that fixes anything in the rmdatabase folder.
I took the quote out of that track title, and it got past it, only to fail at another track that had a quotation mark in the title. So, I think it's safe to say that it chokes on track names with quotation marks.

Yeah, before it scanned through them fine. Not positive that it actually added the files to the DB though...

Also, an operational question:
What is the difference between files that have been added to the database, and those that have not but reside within the music path? It seems that I can still play them and add them to the various playlists. Is the only functionality lost by not adding them to the database the searching?
