Sonic, do a jpg chopped up version in brushed metal and send it to me and I will do a proper version from the PSD's.
I can then try a carwings (and maybe iDrive)
i agree that brust metal is the one to get it done with... but unless you guys wont a .jpg chopped up version of BMV2 i'm not the one to do it. I suck with photoshop and dont have the .psd's to work with
i'm sure john will implement it into his skin once the initial bugs are kicked (and i'm sure there will be plenty of em)

ok here we go. This is a BETA release so expect bugs!
www.sonicxtacy.com/rrmail.rar
extract the .rar and move the rrmail folder into your road runner folder (or wherever u want). Then take the EMAIL TEST SKIN folder and place it in your SKINS folder. This folder is a TEST SKIN not just screens for rrmail. Make sure u register rrmail.dll. then start road runner.. change your skin to EMAIL TEST SKIN and click the email button. If the email.skin loads and you see 0 emails it means one of two things:
1. you do not have outlook express setup properly
2. you need to open the rrmail folder and register mapi32.dll AND msmapi32.ocx
If it works as it should the first downloaded message should appear. At this point the message body is a NON-scrollable label but i will at some point convert the message to a custom list that can be scrolled. Keep in mind this plugin at this point does not work with HOTMAIL accounts that show in there own folder tree in OE. If your email's get sent to the inbox in the local folders tree then RRMAIL will work for you. I havent written a readme unfortunately... so i'll be checking the forum regularly this weekend for help (i'm pressed for time at the moment).
very special thanks to Carputer1 for creation of the sample skin. Good luck terrorizing my vb skillz!!!!

first thin I have noticed is that the background variable for the test skin is hardcoded to roadrunner as opposed to road runner.
and seeing as it's a stripped down skin there is no way to change it in the skin.
oh and also coded to the skin name of e-mail as opposed to e-mail test skin.

And, I thought the newest RR download has it install to roadrunner rather than road runner. So...

Yeah, I know I can change it in the skin.ini. (but I am thinking of the lesser mortals)
but thats what I mean by hardcoded, it doesn't use the $rrpath$ variable (although not sure you can do that in skin.ini.
bare with me here.. what do you mean it doesnt use the $rrpath$ variable? the PLUGIN doesnt use the variable... or the skin?? the skin is just that.. a TEST skin to show how the buttons perform there functions. i dont think the actual plugin even uses the $rrpath$ variable
