Thread: Outlook Express Email Plugin- Re-Release!

dl'ed i can get the skin sorted out, but i have to get the plug working 1st,
sorry to all about the skin mix up, it did'nt help that a mistake in the rr installer.
but heh we are all human, well most of us, i have made the changes E has mentioned and i have removed all buttons that have nothing to do with the plugin, and added EXIT to the main menu, removed all Define font codes now useing basic rr code. skin.ini now looks at Road Runner, so if you have used the last RR installer you will need to change the Background line Back to RoadRunner, this is a no win situation,which ever way i set it someone is going to moan about it.

and once i have the plug working in the skin i will send Sonix the files for Dl.

check your system32 folder to see if mapi32.dll is already present. If so you can skip registering that.

Also, u want to make sure ur trying to register the files in the plugins folder if they dont already exist on your computer. There are dependency files in the plugin folder windows may need to find to correctly register.

ok, so, it still isn't working, but I will wait for the fixes that have been discussed and see if that helps.

ok, wait, it's working after a restart. That's wierd.

Here's what I noticed:
It starts on email 1 (the oldest in my folder) and I have 2262 emails (geez, I need to clean up that folder...) so for me to get to the newest, I have to keep clicking the next message button, but each email comes up with this:



twice. so I'd have to press over 6000 clicks to get to my newest emails. I could allow access but only up to 10 minutes. If there was a way to have an ilist of the messages, so we can find the specific message we want without having to go through each message, that would be great. Or at least a "LASTEMAILMESSAGE" and "FIRSTEMAILMESSAGE" code to go to each end of the list.

yes.. thats the problem. But you can always leave outlook as the default then open outlook express... set it up once and go from there. The .ocx is built only to work with outlook express. i'd LOVE to use the one that works with outlook because it would enable many more features.. but outlook isnt free therefore i gotta stick with what "the people" have and want lol

so...

sonix is adding the ability to scroll messages that you are viewuing at some point,
which will be a great feature, having it as ilist and button coded would be very nice.

also a list of e-mails would also be good if you can do it sonix, just like OE shows the list of mails then select mail to read and it opens the email.skin .

I have almost finished the skin files all working very nicely, spotted a pos. bug in the script which i have told Sonix about, once he has replyed i will send him the new skin for release.

I just uninstalled everything and downloaded the binary and put everything into place....

Just downloaded the RRMail rar and gonna test it out....

So... When a n00b tries to use this (or other things that use the Road Runner directory), there is going to be tons of posts on "Problem with RR" where the skin is looking for a different path...

It should be Road Runner (Not RoadRunner), and I'm sure it will be fixed soon, but in the mean time, the lesser mortals

i can do a list but it would be an added step in actually getting to the email.. what do the rest of you feel about that?

why not have it go to the most recent message as a default, and then have a list to browse through older messages?
