RRFusion- My Fusion Brain plugin for RR

I meant backwards compatible as in the hardware doesnt care and the byte stream doesnt change. The programming does. Sonic uses WinUSB. We use LibUSB.

So you will need to use the older drivers and use Sonic's RR work, or use the libusb drivers and use MDX's COM object for RoadRunner.

Cant do both at the same time because they require different device drivers.

Same here...I cannot get it to do anything it all using the plugin....

EDIT...toaster we posted at the same time but I imagine that's why the plugin won't work for me!

Can you elaborate more on the "MDX's COM object for RoadRunner".

Also, where are the older versions of the plugin? The software link in http://www.fusioncontrolcentre.com/ only goes to the new MDX Installer package.

Sonic, you mentioned in a previous post:

I have no WINUSB folder or key listed. (See attached screen cap) This is a full WinXP Pro install BTW.

I also noticed that when I issue the "RRFUSION" command with the skin tool, the rrfusion.skin does not load, which seems to tell me the DLL is not "running". I have added it to the plugins.txt, and even disabled all other plugins for testing... nothing.

You also mentioned in a previous post to look in device manager for "Da Fusion Brain" My entry is "The Fusion Brain V3". Not sure if this makes a difference 2k1Toaster said that drivers are backwards compatible.

When the new Fusion MDX installed yesterday, it updated my .net so I now have 1,1.1, 2, 2.1, 3, and 3.5 installed.

There are no references or anything pertaining to the FB in the RR.ini or in the Skin.ini as you stated, just in the:
\Road Runner\Plugins\RRFusion\rrfusion.ini

I ran the RunMeFirst to register the .net dll, and even unregistered and re-registered a couple times during trouble shooting.

Any clues on where to go from this point?

John Just place the contents of the RRfusion plugin in your RR folder it will work..

That's the way i have RRfusion plugin working IN DFX 4

As mentioned above, and in the FB thread there is a problem loading the plugin from a RR subfolder for some reason.

I'll take a look today but i thought i already converted it for use in the plugins subfolder. Maybe i'm confusing fusion with another one of my plugins. The problem you're having with the actual operation not working is tied to the newer drivers. I'll see if i can coordinate with nick.. he did mention to me a few ago about the driver change i just havent followed up because i wasnt sure anyone but me was using this plugin. If i can get RRFusion working using both older or newer drivers I will re-do the plugin adding the additional outputs and inputs for the newer version. I'll need someone with the newer fusion brain to test however because i dont have one and dont have the cash to purchase one now.

MDX can communicate with RR directly.

The plugin was created with help from sonic, but they are for different purposes. If you dont need fancy custom formula or event triggered events, and you just want display and easy control then Sonics seems to fit the bill.

The MDX COM object is everything in MDX exposed to RoadRunner including all I/O and all Variables. Also accepting commands from RR to do any "vote" from sending an email to playing a sound, triggering an output, changing a variable, anything that is available in MDX.
