RRFusion- My Fusion Brain plugin for RR

John i can confirm that the new driver (8/28/2008)version 3 is not working with the fusion brain in RR.

I tried them and just as you stated it opens the RRfusion.skin but no activity.

Old version of driver is (08/29/2007) version 1 is working

If you want i can send you the drivers that were released before they will change "THe fusion Brain V3" you have to "Da fusion brain"

Let me know..

Sonicxtacy02 can you look into this :why is the new driver not working with
the RRFUSIOn plugin and location can the location of the fusion brain be altered.

I'm going to look at it today.. i hope.. i came into work and my programming pc smelled like burnt rubber.. power supply failed. So i'll have to replace that. Then i'll take a look at mdx's source to see how the new driver version reads the PID of the fusion brain. HOPEFULLY after than RRFusion will work with both versions.

Hey at least you weren't sitting next to it and the cap blew in the power supply! Happened to me once and I came about 2 feet out of my computer chair! Sounded like a gun shot! (A very large gun!)

Ok i've found the fix for having RRFusion in plugins path. That was easy enough. Next i'll be checking MDX for the pid info. Stay tuned.

Well thanks HUGELY in part to Toasters guidance i've now got the new drivers working in rrfusion. I've also taken a look at MDX and how it manages multiple brain instances. The implementation looks doable.. but to say this will require a MAJOR rewrite of RRFusion is an understatement. Its doable.. but will require each command and label to be renamed to make use of multiple FBs. Instead of DIGOUT0TOGGLE you would see DIGITALOUT0TOGGLE;1... 1 being the FB instance. At first i'd like to support up to 4 FB instances.. does that sound like enough? It will take me awhile to get this release out.. so should i just release a newer single instance version that is compatible with all FB versions first? Choice is up to you guys.

If it supports the new drivers and commands I say yes! I have the older sets in one of my cars up and running RRFusion, but when I get my V4 in Jan I'll need a new RRFusion to support both.

Yes! Please do

I would love to get the FB working with your plugin. It would be so much easier to skin, than trying to skin the MDX and then have to embed it as an external app.

you dont have to skin mdx - you can use it to feed data to/from roadrunner through COM
