Thumbs up Fantastic job on the Plugin!

Sonic, all I can say is WOW! I am in the process of installing all the software on a newly built CarPC. I downloaded the FB drivers (Not the MDX, just the drivers), plugged in the FB, pointed to the drivers and it did its thing.

I copied your files to RR/Plugins/RRFusion, reg'd the DLL, and added the X,RRFusion.

I fired up RR, and it is working perfectly! No going in circles to figure out why it didn't work (I am so used to that with many other plugins).

This has come a long ways since I was beta testing a very early version. Very nice work indeed!

Now I do have one small issue, I have FBAUTOCONNECT=TRUE in the rr.ini but it refuses to start and connect automatically when RR starts. Not a biggie really as I just added FBCONNECT to the ONKSKINSTART routine, and that seems to be working.

Oh, sorry... heheh 2 small issues. I am getting a temp reading of 86 degrees for the temp. It is 72 degrees, as thats what I have the A/C set at, as well as thats what the digi thermometer next to the FB temp probe is reading.

Just for giggles, I put the probe underneath my arm, and it read 109 degrees.... I should be dead

Is this possible its the conversion routine, or do I have a bad probe? I know they are not totally precise, but being off by 14 degrees is a bit much for sure!

The FBAUTOCONNECT RR.ini option was broken because there was an RR release awhile back that had a bug where the variables were read AFTER a plugin loaded. Because i released RRFusion around that time i removed the FBAUTOCONNECT option. Now that the bug is fixed i'll have to add it back. But yea using ONSKINSTART will do the same thing.

i've seen similar behavior with my temp sensors.. they seem to get an accurate reading going up, but when it cools the temperature readings dont drop nearly as steady. I'm using the same formulas that MDX uses. (or used at last i checked it)

here's the formula for solving for farenheit
    Code:
    ReturnLabel = (Int((((((((AnalogIn(0) / 1024) * 5) + -0.4) * 1000) / 19.53) * 1.8) + 32)))
where analogIn(0) is the FB raw output from port 0. If the formula is incorrect by all means somebody let me know. I'm gonna be outta commission for the next few days (double root canal and wisdom tooth removal) but i'll check it when i'm back on my feet.

There are 2 versions of the temp sensors. If you got yours in the first batch, they could be the older version that had a different equation. Can you make out the wording on the sensor?

Wow, I almost had to go the library to use their Microfiche reader! Damn!

2Pixel point black font printed on a black chip!

Ok, from what I can see... it looks like:

    MCP
    9701AE
    To (83)

Any of the numbers could possibly be incorrect, as it is very hard to read, but that should be accurate.

These are the temp sensors that were sent with my FB, not something I ordered later. Though I do need to order a couple more after I know what ones to order, as my puppy found the ends too irresistible to chew on!

well it should be either MCP9701A or MCP9700A

If you have a 9701, then the equation is correct. That -0.4 part is an adjustment for the FB. You can try altering that.

There is definately an "E" after the number. I tried to take a pic, but it is really tough to do! You can make it out I think though....

Ok, what is the -.04 that you are referring to? Is there a way with RRFB to "tune" the readings?

Any reason why it would be reading 15 degrees off in the first place?

In the equation there is a -0.4 that can be ommited or changed.

As for tuning in MDX, that's the whole point of the equations. Here I dont know

It is not reading 15 degrees off. The equation is converting the voltage wrong. If the output is stable it is more than likely outputting the correct voltage. But the voltage needs to be scaled to temperature. So if the equation is off, then the temperature will be off.

Yea, that is in Sonic's source code, which I do not have. I see there is a way to alter analog correction values, but that's for something I have no idea what it is

    From the RRFB.ini

"Analog correction values pertain to the static voltage divder types only"
