Hey sonic been reading what your doing and wanted to extend my congrats. Sounds like your getting FB in the app up to speed. Great job sir!

And you all are welcome for those voltage divider boards. Nick did a great job of putting them together. We blew up the first ones cause I'm not an electrician lol but these work great! Hats of the FB guys for helping the little people make dreams come true! It just takes a lot of wires to connect up 12 voltage dividers to 4 FB's but it is possible. lol

    Later Sonic

analogue value drops below XXX for more than YY seconds

command to toggle ignition is given
command to turn on starter for 1 seconds is given
timer started to toggle ingition again in XX minutes to shut down car

    concerns/problems:
Event alert need to be momentarily suspended so this process does not get initated twice while its still running.

failsafe: if for some reason these events are not executed in this order or only partially completed then i might end up with a car that is constantly running. so somehow i need to make sure that these events executed correctly otherwise shut down computer (which turns of FB completely)

im going to start writing these commands and post them here and see if you guys approve /have better suggestions.

the command wont run again until the DISMISS command is run (dont remember the exact command, but its in skin commands.txt)

i just used two resistors and made a regular voltage divider (costs about 10c) ....seems like a cheap solution....only problem ..there is no "impedance isolation" ie if voltage spiked to high you break the fusion brain (if currents are high enough)

use this website to get your Resistor values... http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...ic/voldiv.html

I have recently redone my carputer configuration and in the process began using the latest version of this plugin. I don't know if you remember my problems from when you first released the plugin (outputs turning off when switching screens), but it's happening to me again on my new install. It's not all the time, but when I do something more processor intensive, like open iguidance, they always click off, the back on.

I have an original fusion brain, which from what I understand has the timer off when there is no usb communication, this is different from the current fusion behavior.

Have you changed anything with the latest release that would bring this problem back?

    Thanks for your help.

no not at all. The way i communicate with the FB is rather simple.. just a timer running a send/receive function which reads/writes bytes to the device. Have you tried running MDX and seeing if it does the same thing?

I have, it works fine standalone. Meaning I start MDX, enable my outputs, then start RR. I haven't tried controlling MDX from RR.

I'm going to see if I still have a copy of the old version of the .dll I was using and give that a try.

I need temps to 240F, voltages to 24V, amps to 75A, and pressure to 250 PSI. (No more than 2 decimal places for any of these) I guess we really need to bring Greenman100 and 2k1Toaster into this thread for the computational and associated hardware setups to make this all work uniformly for everyone.

That's how I intend to use them. Others use external switches to tell the brain to run commands, programs, interface with sdks, etc. 2k1Toaster is the man to really explain this.

I've done some work to add the digital ins but havent yet tested it outta laziness (SO close to vacation! lol). But i'll make some effort to get on it today. Does it matter which pin the 5v line is connected to for the digIns?
I am also planning on using this with an air suspension setup, did he give you the formulas for that?

I have my setup working in the MDX software but will i be able to get it to work in this plugin? I have just downloaded it and got it opening from RR which looks great.
Will this plugin look at my MDX file and pick it all up from there or will i have to redo it all into this plugin?

great work on the plugin by the way

    Thanks
    Ken
