    Thanks to 2k1Toaster i will have a new version 6 fusion brain in hand very shortly. This will ensure that RRFusion will be v6 compatible by release. Also means i'll have two FBs to test with for multi-brain support.

    good deal cause I wanna redo all my carpc wiring anyways and have the FB isolated outside of the case......its a royal PITA trying to unplug and pull all of the sensor wires out of the case.....

    that and the v6 will give me a lot more outputs per brain so for a little while i might not even NEED multibrain support

    Version 2.1.5 has been released. This fixes a pretty huge dummy bug for v4 brains, should solve multi-brain as well. No v6 goodness yet waiting on some work with 2k1 on that.

    if you dont mind try 2.1.5, i can totally see why the last version couldnt connect to v4 brains now

    [2/10/2011 11:32:54 PM]Failed to initialize that Fusion Brain. Make sure it is connected and that you are specifying the correct USB VID/PID number.

    hit disconnect, got an error. unplugged that brain, plugged it back in, hit connect after reloading rr and both were found, but still no 2nd instance outputs turned on.

    I just downloaded the newest release....havnt even bothered trying to use it because as soon as i went looking through the skin commands...major flaw in your ducomentation for analog input label code.....................where the heck do you specify port number?!? lol...

    I'll test everything soon enough...I'm going to have to stick with V4 brains unfortunately because they moved from 5V sensors to 3.3V sensors and I don't feel like spending a ton of money for their voltage divider boards and then have to figure out all new calculations for all of the stuff i'm monitoring.....really a shame they had to go and do that...

    you didnt bother trying because of a mistype? Couldn't have just installed the app and tried it in carwings? Or even look at the skin file? C'mon now.


    the correct label for the analog inputs is "RRFUSION_ANALOGINPUT;<Port>;<Type>". Instance in this case is assumed by the instance toggle command. I made it this way because no one's going to display all labels of all instances.

    i was only kidding about why i hadn't tried it yet...i've been busy with other things and havnt had a chance to try it out yet...

    that's a poor assumption though man... you've effectively limited it to a single brain instance again because i cant monitor inputs on more than one brain at a time... the whole point of multi-brain support is to be able to use both brains at the same time...

    you put a lot of work in on this and i do appreciate it...but this isnt multi-brain ready. having access to outputs on all brains is useful...but without having access to all inputs as well, it's very limiting and make's multibrain support kinda useless...

    can you put in an instance selector in the label code as well?

    Also, can you make it so that the settings you have in your ini file can also be stored in skin.ini? cause i want to keep all of my settings in 1 file...

    What do you mean you cant monitor it? You can still use the threshold monitor method of monitoring an analog value. It accepts port and instance data. The only thing this prevents is displaying the data for more than one instance in skin.

    As for the .ini request, you would really want to put ALL of the settings from RRFusion_settings.xml (not an ini file anymore) into skin.ini? Have you looked at the .xml to see how incredibly confusing that would be?

    do i have to use your settings screen(s) to change the settings? because my skin already takes care of naming inputs and outputs as well as selecting which port is routed to what name...

    also...while your plugin may have monitors that can read any port on any brain... i have calculations that require the same access...

    for the moment, all of my inputs are on 1 brain, but that's only because i dont have multiple brains in the car yet....

    can you please make it so i can read all inputs at the same time by adding an instance selector to the label code?
