RRFusion- My Fusion Brain plugin for RR

Not a Fusion Brain User what I say probably doesn't count for much, however.

I would personally like to see any .net stuff held off for as much as possible as long as RR is a VB6 application. If and when it gets rewritten as a vb.net application then fine.

Now, it may be more work, but how about offering both options.

There is no reason not to upgrade .NET. This was the same pushback people running Windows 98 and Win2k had when XP came out, and again when Vista came out, and again when 7 came out. There is no reason against it other than the perception of "I don't wanna upgrade". We aren't running M10K's with 4Gb SD cards for the OS anymore.

I just did a clean install of Win7 on a new system. It's been so long since I first setup RRFusion. I am confused on how to set this up! If I recall RRFusion had an .ini and now I see an XML but I dont even see where to tell RRFusion where my brain is. It is a Fusion Brain V3 by the way.

Yes i've converted all settings over to xml format. You should not have to tell the plugin where the brain is. Provided youre using the latest v3 drivers, the plugin will get the vidpid automatically now.

If you've connected your FB and its not working the first thing to check is your skin file. There has been changes to the command format, for instance, FBConnect command is now RRFUSION_Connect, and all the commands for writing to digital outputs and reading analog inputs have changed to support multibrains. Read the readme file in the plugin main directory for the new commands or try the carwings skin.

Yous stated above "Provided your using the latest V3 Drivers". I am not. I only have the V6 drivers installed since thats all i can find on FusionControl website. Windows does see the brain and there are no issues.

RRFusion now has a version update that is compatible with V6 fusion brains. If you have a v6 and want to utilize all of RRFusions popular functions please download and utilize this version of the software!
