Sorry Sonic! I have not yet been able to test it. I grabbed it off the shelf, and realized I do not have a wall wart here to power it. It's been crazy here, and will try to get out to rat shack or something to pick one up here in the next day or so.

I'll be try'n it out tonight hopefully or early tomorrow. Working an off shift this evening.

Problem...

Where is it looking exactly for the vid/pid device #? I have all the correct drvs installed as I can control it using the FB SW.

Upon clicking the connect button, I get this message:

VID/PID for device #0 not found in the registry.

Are the Fusion Brain drivers loaded?  = Yes
Is a Fusion Brain connected? = Yes

i know i already told you the answer blue via msn.... but for everyone else it reads the registry entry HKEY\LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\ENUM\WINUSB. inside this entry there is a key named 0 and the value is the device instance of your fusion brain. if you go to that entry and dont see a 0 key simple add a string value, name it 0 and enter your device instance as the value

I did get this work, the prob was you need to be using the latest FB hardware drivers.

After that it worked.

Some things that I observed while messing with it.
#1 On a reloadskin command it should set the outputs to their previous setting, as of current version it sets them all off.
#2 Like above but when its first connected, have a way to set the outputs at startup. Like if I always want #3 output on when connecting
#3 Set some permanent defaults so that it should always work, even if user forgets a setting.

Overall... Its a great start... looking forward to see future improvements.

Are you at some stage planning on releasing the source? Just curious...no biggie if not.

you can set the ports at startup.... you simply add the toggle commands to ONSKINLOAD. Keeping the settings is possible though i guess. Permanent defaults will be added as well in final release.

as for the source... once the final version is done i'll clean it up and release it i spose.

ok i got positive feedback from 3 people now.. and i've since made the improvements blue suggested. There is now a command to save the FB digital output settings to a text file that is automatically read when rr is loaded. this will also solve any hibernation issues with simple additions to exectbl.ini( just add FBSAVE on suspend and FBRESUME on resume).

There is one remaining issue looming which i can not test until my 2nd FB is shipped.. and thats of course how to integrate 2 or more fbs into the plugin. 2k1toaster has layed out the guidelines on how to get it to work but due to my noobish programming skills i cant implement til i can test..alot lol.

so should i release a new beta? it'll be basically the final "single" fb version with all features tested working.

Uh... that would be a good idea, to dbl check if there are no other issues that you might have induced after adding said improvements..
