Thanks for the info, Sonic. I'm glad to hear it's not dead. I've just been keeping the Winamp playlist editor open so I can see the artist/song info. That's obviously not as sweet as it would be to see it in your plugin, but it's certainly an acceptable workaround.

Having a play with this today.. and i've got TRACKNAME displaying live track data. That was pretty simple to do and requires no changes inside of RR or Winamp. Its all done via timer and doesnt require RELOADLIST as i'm reading directly from winamp. Still plenty to do but thats a good start!

That's a great start! I always felt all the RRCode timers I have are raising my CPU usage. So one less timer is a good thing.

I've been spending time coming up with entry/exit/resume solutions. Here's what i got. the command "RRSHOUTCAST;" will result in difference actions based on whether or not RRShoutcast is tuned to an internet radio station. If you are NOT tuned (meaning ur listening to audio, radio, watching a movie, etc), the command will open rrshoutcast.skin with the Genre list. If you ARE tuned when RRSHOUTCAST; is pressed, you will be returned to rrshoutcast.skin with the prior station list and channel information in tact. If you exit RR while shoutcast is tuned, the next time you run RRSHOUTCAST; you will return to rrshoutcast.skin with prior station list and channel information as well. Hope thats easy to understand! Here's a video of it in action. Video starts with AUDIO playing, first RRSHOUTCAST; command is run and a station is tuned. Then the screen is exited and RRSHOUTCAST; is run again. Excuse the slowness Camstudio slows my pc down while in use.

    1. Hitting "ESC" or "EXIT" takes you completely out of the screen and when you go back to the screen its starts anew. I s there no way of returning from where you left off.

    2. I know I can organize my skin layout for this plugin as I see fit, but once a genre has been selected, I would like to see all the info about a channel "ONCLICK". Right now the only label updated "ONCLICK" of a station in the list is its CHANNEL NAME - I'd want all info about that station, i.e., NOW PLAYING, MIME TYPE, and BITRATE, too. I know the NOW PLAYING would require update from the web and its one area no one has figured out how to update for multiple channels, not even Winamp. In the last three attempts I've tested for everybody gave up on getting XM Radio style channel updates working. The bitrate is important cause some slower connections (like my Aircard) work great at 96 but struggles at 128.

    3. One workaround for the "now playing" issue is to change the label to TRACKNAME once a station has been selected. A timer fired RELOADLIST will keep it updated. As stated above, I'd prefer a separate label for "current playing track" and "now playing for selected station".

    4. Is this list scrollable with iList? It scrolls when loading, but I can't "flick" it to scroll.

    5. Is there any way to filter the 20 random channels button?

I'm loving the search function and the speed of the plugin. Don't stop this could be impressive!
Old post but i'm tryin to gather feature requests before the next update.

    1. Fixed

    2. To Be Added.. but keep in mind each list click will require an internet pull.

    3. Fixed

    4. Skin isnt designed for it, but if you use your own skin its IList'able

    5. Still a no.... but i have a feeling you'll be using the favs list anyway since you're a shoutcast pro

    Done

Fixed. It will check at startup for internet.. if internet is found the genre list will be loaded in the background. If there's no internet the first time you run RRSHOUTCAST; it will do the pull.

Maybe a new ACTIVESOURCEID should be created for internet radio.. and my plugin and other internet radio plugins could set the source programatically so that rr knows when internet radio is playing and AUDIO is pressed to reload the audio playlist. Right now i'm doing this with timers in my plugin. I'll have to holler at mitch if he's around today
Fixed this issue.. but not via activesourceid. I'm writing my own variables. Thanks Gizmo for that suggestion!

Any other feature requests people? I'm hoping to tie this up and have a new version out Monday with all features EXCEPT the sort option.

Damn, I've slept since then. I don't remember anything more.

Will the favs lists be standard Winamp playlists?

yes. ShoutcastFavorites.m3u will be a single file with all your favorites. The only thing i have yet to figure out is to how to get rid of the "sub" channels that show up on certain stations. Or if i should get rid of em at all. Have a prerferrence?
