When RR starts do you see the speedzone splash screen?
It seems like Speed Zone isnt getting loaded when RR starts. It should.
Right after RR starts and everything seems to be Loaded up..
Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and check processess for speedlimit.exe.
If this is missing speedzone is not getting loaded.
    What skin are you using?

    actually i don't.
The only time the splash screen shows up and teh GPSdiag app, is after i click on the START or the speedlimits.

I though something was off. Becuase i found it odd that i would need to hit the START button to get the app to look like it was working.

    Im using the DFX4 skin.
This is what i did to set it up.

    - voices enabled in your RR config

    - Copy all files to (YOURSKINPATH)\Plugs\SpeedZoneLimit\

    - Place files from the "example skin" folder in to your existing skin (overwright existing)

    - Create a button to launch the speed limit skin using command "SPEEDSTART"

    - Create a button to launch the speed zone skin using command "SPDZONES"
(Use the Button Editor - use the same name for all 3 feilds)

    7. Add the following line to the DFX exectbl.ini file
    "ONSKINSTART","RUN;$SKINPATH$Plugs\SpeedZoneLimit\ speedlimit.exe"

    8. Add the "Speed Limit Plugin" lines to DFX exectbl.ini file
    (add to the end)

I think you may be right its not loading correctly at the startup.
I tried moving the ONSKINSTART around a bit and put it as the very first item to load. Interestingly, it still didn't load, but also prevented other things below it from loading.
So what it looks like is the ONSKINSTART command is just not loading for some reason.

OK found part of the issue. I was missing quotations at the end of the line.
    So now it reads.
    "ONSKINSTART","RUN;$SKINPATH$Plugs\SpeedZoneLimit\ speedlimit.exe"

But still the only way to get it to load during RR start, is if its the first item on the line in the exectbl.
But as mentioned before, looks like some other parts of the table don't get excuted if i have it this way. (eg.The button lables don't get loaded)

Now if i put the line as the second line of the exectble. Then it won't load at all. I tried putting it in other parts of the exetbl. And still won't load.

And the original error i got still shows up when the speedlimit.exe loads.
Even when it loaded up during RR start.

I've got a keyfob I use to open the gate to my complex, does anyone know if there's a way I can get this application to somehow send the command to open the gate without having to use the keyfob? I believe it sends an RF signal to open it.

getting close and closer. More experimenting.
What i just found out is that there can only be one "onSkinStart" line in the exectble.ini.

So to get Speedlimit to load correctly. This is what i had to do.
Again im using the DFX4 skin, so not sure if it applies to all others.

    - Added the following line to the DFX exectbl.ini file
this is what executes the speedlimit pluggin
    "SPEEDZONE","RUN;$SKINPATH$Plugs\SpeedZoneLimit\sp eedlimit.exe"

    - Added "||SPEEDZONE" as an additional item in the onskinstart command.
So should now looks like this:
    "OnSkinStart","SetApps||SetCommandLabels01||SetApp Labels||SetIcons||GammaSlider||ExtraPrograms||SPEE DZONE"

    So now everything loads correctly.
Except of course for the error "variable used without being declared" popup.

This is a wicked idea. I'm sure it can be done. All you need is an transmitter that can support multiple frequences and learn you keyfob codes. Oy yea and somehow be controlled via PC.

Probaby the easiest way of doing this with existing equipment.
Get the Fusion Brain. Rip apart your keyfob and wire a relay to the button contact points. Now its computer controlled. All you need is to trigger the Fusion brain based on your GPS position.

Somethings may depend on this, this sounds like your problem.
    Are you using XP?
Will not work with earlier versions of windows, not sure about vista

In the past if having trouble during start up it has been narrowed down to a problem with the language files. Check you windows regional settings. Set to english if not set to english.
SZ is supposed to work with other langauges but for trouble shooting purposes let's try this.

    (1) Make sure you are using the latest version of RR..
Set SZ to use english. Then make sure you have the english.lng file in the SZ folder.

    (2) With DFX running
    Run the RR Skin Tool
Type in !SPEEDZONEMONI1 for an indicator
It should alternate between on and off every few seconds if speed zone is running.

    (3) double check your Exectble.ini and make sure that all the entries have been made for speedzone.
    This is a critical one.

    (4) Also ensure you have the correct comport for speed zone. MUST be different than the one that RR uses.

    (5) Open up the error.log file if one exists in the speedzone path. May have a clue there.

    (6) Zip up your entire DFX setup and attach it to a post so I can check it out.

This can definitely be done using a fusion brain. You can configure SZ to execute any commands through RR or From the command line. These commands can control anything.

I have my computer setup so when I get home it updates my trapster zones using the Auto Trapster script. All you need to do is add a command to your zone and Bingo your setup.

I would need to tear apart a keyfob though? Would it be powered from the computer or would I still need to keep the batteries in it?
