I'm currently using this plugin v1.15 and works great. I just have one problem. This problems is completely random. I find my bluetooth randomly disconnects and reconnects while in riderunner. Sometimes it happens when i'm in a call and sometime is happens when i'm not using bluetooth at all and just listening to music. When ever it disconnects, it will reconnect with in a second or too. Doesn't happen all the time, but seems completely random. How i can tell it disconnects is when it happens my indicator for when my phone connects disappears and my phone says 'disconnected' then with in a second the indicator pops back on and phone connects again. Anyone experience this?
I am using bluesoleil version 6.4.314.3, mobilephone.net v1.15 and i have a IOGEAR GBU421 mini bt adapter and my phone is a lg vu. I am also running windows 7 x86. It could be a combination of things, not sure if its my bt adapter or not. Would the debug file show anything that may help?
Other than bt disconnecting occasionally, everything works fine.
What is the command MOBILEPHONE_PANCON for and why does it raise ONINVALIDCOMMAND?
And why if I start ICS (specifying connect via PAN) on the phone do I seemingly automatically get the PAN connection with the phone without having to connect PAN (i.e. MOBILEPHONE_PANCON) from RR.
Actually I am just curious as I seem to have PAN and Internet Access (via Sprint on a Touch Pro) running just fine.
I remotely start ICS (IntShrUI.exe) using the RAPITOOLS "prun" command and then remotely "press" the left softbutton on the phone ("Connect").
Once that is done, I have the PAN connection and access to the Internet.

Jim
reinstalled everything, and upgraded framework from 2.0 to 3.5. bluesol software starts up really slowly on cold boot but everything works afterward... i may up end rebuilding the os, but great job on the plugin!!!![]()
lambosprit,
Actually this appears to be incorrect.
It appears that I must issue the MOBILEPHONE_PANCON to complete the connection even though RR logs an ONINVALIDCOMMAND for that command.
If I start ICS and "press" connect on ICS, the full connection is not made until I issue the MOBILEPHONE_PANCON.
What am I missing?
The MobilePhoneDebug.log says I am running Mobilephone.net 1.16.3740.37948

I'm never sure why RR issues an ONINVALIDCOMMAND. I asked once but can't remember the explaination. The command is obviously working its just RR does think so for some reason. If its working I wouldn't worry
Edit: I decided to have a look and I've found out why. I forgot to tell RR that I'd processed the command. It will be fixed in the next version.
lambosprit,
I was about to ask if you returned 0 and not 2, but you had already discovered that. I've done that myself on at least one of my plugins.
I had PAN working quite well until I had to reset my phone and/or reboot my PC, now it doesn't work.
BlueSoleil and the phone are paired, PAN is shown on the PC as a service of the phone, Bluetooth is running on the phone, I start ICS and "press" connect (programatically) and issue mobilephone_pancon. ICS show connected but an IP address is never assigned and any attempt to access a URL gets an error. BTW, this all behaves the same way if I manually start ICS and press connect and then use BlueSoleil Classic Mode to connect PAN.
One thing I never noticed before is a Local Area Network on the PC being activated when I connect to PAN. It sits there with the message "Acquiring Network Addresses" and then it finally gives up.
The phone has access to the Internet natively through WM6.1 IE and Email.
I've looked at mobilephonedebug.log and bswrapper.log and see nothing obvious. In fact, both look as I would expect.
I am at a loss as to what is missing.
Anyway, the normal phone stuff works fine except for the signal and battery levels but they never were correct on my HTC Touch Pro.
I appreciate that you are not an expert on every phone folks try, but if you have any thoughts they would be appreciated.
I'm running XP SP3, latest BlueSoleil, WM6.1 and, as I said, this used to work until I reset my phone and/or rebooted my PC.
If I haven't said it before, great work.

Jim
My setup uses MyMobiler to embed the phone screen in my mobilephone.skin. When the phone rings I would simply like mobilephone.skin to show and not mobilecall.skin as I can answer the phone from the buttons on the embedded phone screen.
Can this be done?
Also, if I make a call directly from my phone, the sound goes to the PC as it should. However, is there a way to cause mobilephone.skinto display if I make the call directly from the phone, i.e., an event that I don't see.
BTW, I can call from the embedded phone display either with a number or from the phone's address book, and mobilephone picks that up and the sound flows through the PC just as if I had made the call from the original mobilephone.skin.

Jim
There is a setting at the bottom of the ini file to switch off the mobilecall popup
If you want to have something happen when the phone rings you can use the onmobilephonering event. There isn't one to capture making a call though.
As for your other problem i have no idea I'm afraid but it sounds like a phone / pc problem not a plugin problem
lambosprit,
Thanks for the input.
I didn't see MobilCall=on (and I assume off) as there is a comment about "not messing around with this setting".
As to making a call on the phone and having mobilephone.skin display, clearly someone knows I have made the call directly from the phone since the audio goes to the PC. I'll look around and see if something undocumented/unintended shows up. Otherwise, I'll just bring the skin up manually.
I am beginning to hate computers (I guess I should after 50 years in this business). This morning I brought the PC out of hibernation, plugged in the phone to the USB port, and tried to use PAN via RR and your plugin and it worked!!! Honest, I made no changes since last night and the PC was hibernated. Can anybody say Guinness????

Jim
