    .net Issue

Hi. I am having an issue that is probably tied to .net rather than the plugin but am wondering if anyone else has experienced it. Whenever I open up the phone on DFX and hit any button, I get a 'system access violation exception. attempted to read or write to protected memory...'

I have an HTC Nexus One running on BS 8.0.338.

Any clues as to why this is happening? Thanks!

After a little tinkering I got this installed and running. Since I'm running in profile mode, I had to change the skin directory, and I'm wondering if that is responsible for the mobilephone.ini error I got when I first started RR. The message was that the ini wasn't found in c:\users\car\documents\riderunner\plugins\mobileph one.net. I copied the ini from the main plugin directory (in program files\riderunner\plugins) and it worked.

I'm having trouble getting RR to make calls with my phone, even though it is showing as connected in the skin (after changing the Carwings indicator to "mobilephone_connected":

When typing in a number and pressing dial, it simply doesn't do anything.

I'm using BlueSoleil 6.4.249.0 with a Motorola Droid, and the log is as follows:

    Total Newb

Hi, I'm a total newb to RR. I'm trying to install my first carputer and want to get bluetooth phone calls working. I've got a trial of BlueSoleil 8 installed, the latest RR and the latest .net plugin. I got the phone connected and got the address into .net. I have Phoco disabled.

My problem is that when I launch RR I get an error saying it cannot find mobilephone.ini and then it closes. I don't know what the .ini file is or how to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

The system is an AMD Compaq R4000 on Win 7 32 bit with a 4 channel amp and an 8" touch screen.

Must have missed the posts on this page. I copied the entire mobilephone plugins contents over to the my documents version and it runs.

Unfortunately it isn't working to make calls. I'm running the Reborn skin and it says a phone is "not available." The phone and computer say they are connected. I was very careful typing in the address. What should I do? The phone is a Samsung Eternity II. aka SGH-A597.

Man, 117 pages and I still can't find my answer. The installation keeps failing so, as you suggested, I went back to post #77 and did it manually. A warning message appeared in the dos window but it completed successfully. The problem now is that because the installation itself fails, it will not continue on pass the fail part and so the ini file (and whatever else) is not installed so when I start Ride Runner, the 'missing ini' file appears and causes RR to blow up.
Can someone tell me how to have the installation continue after the register failure or post all the files I need after manually registering it? I've been at this for over 4 hours and read every post I could find and frankly, my brain is fried!

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

EDIT: I created an XP virtual machine on Win7 box and tried installing mobile phone on a bare bones RideRunner install (with .net framework of course) and the installation failed in the same freakin' place. I have to assume that because it failed on a stand alone XP box and a vmware vm, something in the installation is out of whack or there's something going on with .net framework. I went to my C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework folder and I see I have the following folders, v1.0.3705, v1.1.4322, v2.0.50727 and v4.0.30319 and registered the phone dll as specified in post #77 using v2.0.50727.

I've been at this all day and now the wife's pi$$ed at me because we were supposed to go out but I got obsessed with this....guess I'll be on the couch tonight...

Anyway I now I have Mobilephone.net connecting to my phone, but Im getting the exception (object reference not set to an instance of an object) when I hit any of the keypad number buttons (on any of the supplied skins). If I hit the green dial button, my mobile dials out the last number dialled, so the dll must be registered correctly in order to get this far no?

I have read through this thread trying to troubleshoot and this is what Ive tried so far, all to no avail:

    Uninstall and reinstall plugin
Check bswrapper.dll and mobilephone.dll are in the rr\plugins\mobilephone.net folder
Manually registered the mobilephone.dll file as detailed in solution 2 in this thread
Disabled the alarm page in the ini file (not that I think this is relevant, but was worth doing while I saw the ini entry)
Checked all other details in the Mobilephone.ini file which is detailed below.

If anyone could help out with anything I might have overlooked Id really appreciate it:

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I was all set to go to bed...I mean, the couch, and decided to scan the posts one more time when I saw this. I coped your ini settings (I was missing the ini file), put in my mac address and it worked!!!! Woo Hoo! Only spent a full day on this! LOL! Now a little fine tuning with icons, etc. and I should be good to go! Thanks again.

My contacts aren't being saved and the little battery pics etc. aren't anywhere to be found but I can call and accept calls so that's a great start. Guess I'll be up all night!

So I read this whole thread and Got my phone to connect make calls, end calls, swap from hands free to cell phone, but i get no audio through the speakers. Went to the .ini file and tried 30 different combinations of realtek hd audio output and what not. still no audio. Using win7, latest 1.17 .net bluetooth mobilephone plugin, latest rr, dfx 5.1, and my phone is a HTC G2. I set my debug to 5 and it doesn't give me any errors. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

edit: realized I didnt' install the drivers from my mb disc and let windows 7 give me generic audio drivers ..... So the sound works but now the microphone doesn't... will try again tomorrow
