can i ask a quick question?
what version of bluesoleil is everyone using? the trial? does it have a time limit?
to close the mobilecall.skin just add an exit to your button command so
mobilephone_hangup||exit
I will be improving the logging on the wrapper dll soon so that it can be switched off.
The mobilephone_dc and rc commands are used to load the txt files into road runner custom lists. However the code to populate these txt files was wrong. I've fixed it but just testing to make sure. You should also check your ini settings so as not to use the .\ for the phonebook path. For some reason vb gets confused about the current directory so set it to a full path.

I'm using 6.4.249. The trial will not work because it doesnt allow you to enable the headset profile i believe. You can however find it online with a search.

my phone is symbian nokia 5800 which is not on the list.. i selected another symbian phone and most things look like the work in blusoleil..i can browse my phone etc..
which service does this plugin use? is it dial up networking? or com port?
I am registering my interest here. I have an iPhone which I know is not directly supported by BlueSoleil. BUT, some have said that this plugin *should* work with any phone that supports headset functionality through BT which the iPhone definetly does. So unless someone responds saying they were not able to make anything work with this plugin and the iPhone I am going to load it up and give it a try. All I want to be able to do is pause playback upon phone ringing, dialing out, or during a phonecall.
Update: In looking at the downloads in the first post of this thread there are two files with no description on either. After downloading them both I can see that the .rar file is the older version and the .zip file is the newer version. Do I have that right?
Update: I just tested the bluesoleil drivers with the bluesoleil dialer. The dialer does know when a call is incoming and it can place outgoing calls so it seems to me that what I want to do is possible.
I'll have to try it now with my earpiece and see if the phone can work the two devices simultaneously. After that I'll try the plugin from this thread and see what can be done.
Update: The phone won't work with two "headphones" at the same time. It seems to use whichever connected first. So the bluesoleil should do what I want as long as I give up on using the earpiece at all. Hmmm.

there are two versions of bluesoleil that work and they are listed in the readme file. I tried a cracked version for testing but it kept crashing , then tried the trial version which works but has a 2mb download and 15day limit. The software is dirt cheap though which is why I chose it.
The plugin uses the bluesoleil sdk so neither dial up nor com port. The way bluesoleil connects to the phone is decided by itself. On this point I did get dial up networking working on the old version but haven't put it in the new wrapper version yet.
as for the two versions in the first post I was keeping the original rar because it didn't use the wrapper which wasn't fully tested. I should delete it now as the wrapper seems to be ok.
The headset is something I haven't implemented yet. It is possible to use headset AND handsfree but I wanted to get hands free working as this is the most use on a carputer as far as I'm concerned.
all the above is on the list and I have a long trip away from home soon so will have the time to do it.
Hmmm. It should be able to use both a handsfree and a headset huh? Well, that is for later, at the moment I just need to figure out how to build/implement a skin that will popup when a call comes in.
When I look at the Authorization tab for BlueSoleil I see:
Bluetooth Serial Port (com6)
Bluetooth Serial Port (com7)
Bluetooth Advanced Audio
Bluetooth object push
Bluetooth File Transfer
Bluetooth Basic Imaging Service
Bluetooth Quick Print Service
Bluetooth Personal Area Network
Which of those are you using for the Handsfree as it isn't clear to me.
P.S. The mobilephone_readme.txt in the .rar is formated better than the same file in the .zip. The one in the .zip is messed up with no Carrage returns.

i am having trouble conecting my phone..
as soon as RR is started i see the dialup networking connecting for 10 seconds then disconecting again and again..the plugins skin it self does not show any life signs
Are you planning on implementing an OnCall indicator? The one thing that seems missing is if I place a call from my phone there is no indicator to RR to tell it I am on a call and therefor pause the playback.
