Thread: .net Bluetooth Mobilephone Plugin

I too have noticed mobilecall.skin does not show. It did once for me a few releases ago but now it just rings (then auto answers ugh i gotta find a fix for that lol )

I have taken some steps backwards. I had the plugin working but I noticed that I had the files in the root of the Road Runner directory so I removed them and I am now trying to get it to work from the \plugin\mobilephone directory.
RR is not recognizing the plugin. How do I configure that?

The first post says to use the carwings plugin manager skin to do this but I can't find a carwings with a plugin manager. I have downloaded and tried Carwings_Dynamic
and Carwings-V2 with no luck finding the plugin manager.

Update: using post #77 I was able to get the plugin working again.
Update2: I have it popping up A skin now on incoming call. Now I just have to produce a skin for DigitalFX that pauses the playback untill I click resume.
Update3: Odd. It seems to automaticaly resume playback when the call ends but I had to make it pause by adding the "play" command to my skin load. oh well. It works as I want though it doesn't look good because I am terrible at skinning.

and where does it search for images (for incoming calls)? and what is the correct file names for the images?

by incomplete do you mean I haven't supplied a mobilecall.skin? I am working on one for freedom ultimate (thats what I use) and then one for bmv2.

The plugin supplies a variable mobilephone_photopath which uses the settings from the ini file to say where the photo's should be and what file extension. However looking into the code its not updated when it should. I'll fix it for the next release so that either an incomming or outgoing call updates it.

Carwings is supplied with the new riderunner. Thats what I'm refering too as the plugin manager is part of ride runner.

The plugin should automatically send a PAUSE command to RR when you send a mobilephone_pickup or dial. the auto answer also sends a PAUSE. Then it will send PLAY when there is no call and it was previously paused. I used PAUSE rather than MUTE so you dont miss any of the song.

Care to share the skin with other users? I intend to make one of my first post messages into a skin post.

Both of the files in the original post include a mobilephone.skin. Neither of them include a mobile_call.skin. I made a skin to popup called myCall.skin but I think I'll try renaming it to mobile_call.skin and see what happens...although sonicxtacy02 is saying his doesn't come up now so I guess it won't do any good.

the skin is called mobilecall.skin without the underscore. It works for me everytime.

Thanks for the update on the file name but that file is not in those packages either.

One other thing:Where is the "x,mobilephone" supposed to go and what does it do? Does it tell RR there is a plugin out there or what? I put it in my skin.ini file for my skin but I am not sure where it should go. Your instructions just say to put it in your main skin file which is rather ambiguous.

update: ok, I put "x,mobilephone" in my menu.skin and it works now.
