.net Bluetooth Mobilephone Plugin

This plugin doesn't support contacts or sms for any phone YET. I've implemented a temporary measure where you can store contacts in the mobilephone_pc file and it will display them but it doesn't sync with the phone YET. It is top of my list of things though.

How is it determined if a plugin shows in the plugin manager or not? My skin DigitalFX has a plugin manager and there are many plugins that do not show there. MobilePhone is one of them. Any Ideas?

Did you try Carwings Dynamic if it shows there then something wrong in DigitalFX skin, if not you did not register mobilephone.dll correctly.

The Pluging manager in DFX is old. Call it an early beta, and the first step in managing plugins in a skin, and not having to use the x, lines in the menu.skin. It does not work directly with the plugins as the new version, that comes with the carwings skin. It is something I plan to add to a future version of the DFX skin, I am just not sure when, as I have had so much going on here lately, that development of the skin has been on the far back burner for now.

So do the users of DFX need to use the carwings to enable the plugin, and then it will work in any skin?

To enable plugin you need to add X,mobilephone to menu skin and it works any skin you want.

true but if your using ride runner you just put it in the plugins directory and register it there then it can be used for any skin even ones you add later.

the x,mobilephone is how road runner did it, it still works but means you have to add it to every skin.

no. Carwings will show you if its registered correctly. thats all.

Chaps.....I've had a read throught this thread....and I'm sure what isn't happening is because of my noobishness.

I'm moving over fron CF2 to RR and I'm setting up RR on a seperate computer, one of the things that was stopping me from using RR earlier was the lack of half decent phone support.....so......

I have the latest version of RideRunner installed......all good
I have Bluesoleil 6.4.249(full) installed.....all good
I have so far just stuck with the carwings skin to get things working
I ran the VCREDIST file first....all good
I ran the installer and point firstly to the RR root folder, then to the carwings skin folder and OK'ed........all good so far

BUT in the plugins manager mobilephone isn't in there and in the debug it has a line that says " plugin found but will be unable to create (most likely NOT registered)

so I'm guessing that it is not registered??? but how do I get it registered?

Also MobilePhone is showing in the plugins folder and the skin elements are in the carwings skin folder

cheers for helping out somebody who was too used to the easyness of CF2....BUT I'm trying to learn !!
