Thread: .net Bluetooth Mobilephone Plugin

Did the PDANET issues ever get worked out? I am not using PDANET for BT DUN, but tethered via USB. Today was my first go at this plugin and it didn't go to well. My phone pairs with blusoleil. When I open the plugin in RR it shows my phone, my number etc.. It doesnt do anything however. There is no contacts, nothing. I made a call dialing out manually and all it did was dial the call, it worked, but I had to pick up the phone and use it like normal. The audio didnt work through the speakers. Is there a way to standalone test this outside of RR?

P.S. Do I need Bluesoleil mobile? This plugin does not require the CPhone connect plugin correct?

Well, I was gonna give this a go, but ran into a problem installing Blue Soleil on Win 7.

i installed on win 7 64 bit no problem. Whats happening.. This thread really died..would really like to get this working.

It seems the plugin is working properly to me. Can anyone give any insight into exactly what needs to be done with blue soleil? It seems pretty straight forward but I must not have something configured correctly. I have the phone paired etc..

after looking through the 40 some pages of this thread I am more confused now with all the changes. I am trying to get this plugin to work with Riderunner but have had no success.I downloaded the Mobilephone.net_setup.zip file on the first post and ran it and the vcredist_x86.exe file. I also have Bluesoleil version 6.249 (full version), i can get it to connect to my phone and when i call my cell phone i can answer the call (on the cell phone by clicking answer on the cell phone) and then i can have it transfer the sound to the "headset" which causes the sound to go to the pc speakers. But how can i get this integrated into Riderunner? I have seen different posts about using BMW skin or Carwings_dynaminc skins but cannot find where to get the BMW skin and i dont see where in the Carwings version that comes with RR to get to the phone menu. I tried adding a button manually that goes to the "mobilephone.skin" menu but it looks like a generic tester menu which i think was mentioned before in the thread. It gives me a green icon at the top but nothing else seems to work in it.
Can lambo or someone give me some insite on what my first step would be to get this working and integrated into RR.

I'd try using the 'ultimate' skin's mobilephone stuff that's included in the installer as a trial.

you can just copy that stuff into your working skin folder and load the mobilephone.skin file with a button.

So you're wanting to use a bluetooth headset rather than a microphone hooked to the PC? There was mention in here about it, I think there's a button or option you set so that when you accept the call it'll transfer the bluetooth connection from the pc to the headset - something to do with having multiple bluetooth connections at once?

No i am wanting to get the sound through the speakers of the car and i would have to talk through a mic through the pc but bluesoleil calls it "headset" set up.

i was messing with the test skin that was included in the install package and it shows it connecting but not much else works, i have tried to call my cell phone from a land line and it seems to know a call is coming in because it tries to load another screen called mobilecall.skin and it says its not found. I saw someone post something about it on post #247 but
does anyone have a complete skin that this has been incorporated into that i can see?

Maybe one day we will remote start our cars with our phone
