I just bought a Nexus One Android phone and was disappointed by the lack of support for it inside of BlueSoleil. The Nokia N95 I was using previously seemed to work well for most everything I wanted when hooked up to my car.
That said, I'm running Windows 7 and using the eLite Lite skin and version 2.2 of Android, and I'm able to make and receive hands-free calls from the Nexus One and the wonderful Mobilephone Plugin. I really don't recall having to do anything out of the ordinary to set it up. Honestly, there's not much else I want to really accomplish with the phone and bluetooth in the car, but I guess it would just be nice to have some more official support inside of BlueSoleil.
Thanks for the post. I have left my settings on the generic phone for BS for now. Ill give the N95 a try. Do you have to "Swap Audio" manually when making or receiving a call or does the audio go right to the PC?
If I pick up my phone and dial a number, the audio is automatically transferred to the car and I can speak hands free. Similarly, if someone dials my phone while I'm driving, the music in Ride Runner is paused and I can start talking to the caller without pressing anything.
My Hero with Android 2.1 works with Bluesoleil in respect of connecting a Dial Up Network and copy the contactlist from the Phone. And Bluetooth audio transfer from phone works as well.

I can transfer audio and phone book. I cant get this plugin to connect to my phone anymore.
On your phone what does the PC show up has? PC Headphones? Headset?
i am a newbe in this stuff, and i want to try this Mobilephone plugin but i have problems to install it.
If i start the RoadRunner, it says in the debug.txt
I tried to register it manually, this is the answer:
27.07.2010 14:25:21: Plugin Manager: Plugin Found: MobilePhone(.NET) plugin found but will be unable to create (most likely NOT registered)[skipped].
After my manual registering, comes the same thing as above.

There is a warning, maybe is this the register problem?
So i googled and found this: http://www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/SPSBlog/PermaLink,guid,df3f1be8-62bc-491c-935e-570ebfe53164.aspx
What could i do here?
And where can i find older versions of this plugin for trying?
Thank you, and sorry for my bad english.
PS: I use the new Release of RR (1 - July - 2010)
Try pairing but not connecting any services from the phone end of things. Then let the plugin do the connection and see what happens, this seems to work for me...............well sort of. At first the person on the other end could only hear the FM tuner until I entered the name of the wavein and waveout devices in the ini and it seemed to work, but now the caller hears nothing.

Maybe that info will help you figure something out. I'm using a HTC Hero BTW.
Quick update for those asking about Android phones. Just done some testing with my HTC Hero and it works fine, aside from the slight echo that the caller has (even with the realtek echo cancellation option) and the amp that I have switching itself off when I'm talking due to no signal in the line out...................but that's not the plugin's fault.
So, who has a really good solution to echo cancellation. I'd be keen to find out what peeps are using. Maybe it's the cheap mic that I use? Anyone found a cheap full-duplex mic (I think that's the correct type)?
Also, if Lambo is about, I have added the bluetooth 'connect' and 'disconnect' buttons to the Simplistique skin for the plugin. It's basically because I still have this problem where audio from the Silabs stutters when the plugin is connected so I disconnect the headset device when I have the radio on. They're useful buttons to have as well. If you'd like to add that updated version to the installer then let me know.
It works to an extent for me. I have dial the call and swap the audio. I too have the echoes and people complain to me all the time. I am using the Andrea sounbeam from mp3 store.
Look in the mp3car store at their microphones, the alexa one has been well received over on the dfx5 forum for their coming voice controls
