    Unhappy

In latest 2 0r 3 RR releases I experienced a little issue with my steering wheel buttons (I own an E46 BMW with Resler's IBUS interface and at RR start, IBusComm application starts and make my steer buttons work with RR).
There are 6 buttons that I always used with RR: vol+,vol-,previous track, next track,play/pause,mute/unmute.
When I use Winamp everything still works fine and I can do all these functions with my steer but, when I use Foobar2000, only volume and mute buttons work fine.
The prev and next buttons move the highlight on a different track but don't affect the playing that continues on the same title.
The play button makes only some momentary resets on few indicators but no effect on playing.

Any ideas on what it may depend?

This may be related to how the iBusComm is sending the commands to RR -- if it is sending the commands directly to the player, it may only work with one player and not another. If it's sending the commands to RR (the right way), then you should be able to make a debug log to see what's going on.

The same commands that cause this issue with Foobar, work well both with winamp and radio skin, so I suppose IbusComm is sending commands to RR (the right way as you say).

Here is part of my debug log where I firstly send the PLAY command through the steer button (with no effect) and then through the touchscreen (worked):
    06/10/2009 9.31.51: COMReceive: PLAY
    06/10/2009 9.31.51: SDK command: PLAY
06/10/2009 9.31.51: Enter Exec: False, audio_player.skin, "PLAY", False
06/10/2009 9.31.51: Que Exec: True, audio_player.skin, "PLAY", False
    06/10/2009 9.31.51: Executing: PLAY
    06/10/2009 9.31.51: DayLightMode: Standard
06/10/2009 9.31.51: Leave Exec: False, audio_player.skin, play, False
    06/10/2009 9.31.52: DayLightMode: Standard
    06/10/2009 9.31.54: DayLightMode: Standard
    06/10/2009 9.31.54: Enter Exec: False, audio_player.skin, "ONBTNPRESS||PLAY", False
    06/10/2009 9.31.54: Que Exec: True, audio_player.skin, "ONBTNPRESS||PLAY", False
06/10/2009 9.31.54: Que Exec: True, audio_player.skin, "PLAY", False
    06/10/2009 9.31.54: Executing: PLAY
    06/10/2009 9.31.54: DayLightMode: Standard
06/10/2009 9.31.54: Leave Exec: False, audio_player.skin, play, False
    06/10/2009 9.31.55: DayLightMode: Standard
    06/10/2009 9.31.56: DayLightMode: Standard

Here is another part regarding VOL+ and VOL- that worked correctly pressing the steering wheel buttons:
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: COMReceive: VOL+
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: SDK command: VOL+
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: Enter Exec: False, audio_player.skin, "VOL+", False
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: Que Exec: True, audio_player.skin, "VOL+", False
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: Executing: VOL+
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: DayLightMode: Standard
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: Leave Exec: False, audio_player.skin, VOL+, False
    06/10/2009 9.32.05: DayLightMode: Standard
    06/10/2009 9.32.06: COMReceive: VOL-
    06/10/2009 9.32.06: SDK command: VOL-
06/10/2009 9.32.06: Enter Exec: False, audio_player.skin, "VOL-", False
06/10/2009 9.32.06: Que Exec: True, audio_player.skin, "VOL-", False
    06/10/2009 9.32.06: Executing: VOL-
    06/10/2009 9.32.06: DayLightMode: Standard
06/10/2009 9.32.06: Leave Exec: False, audio_player.skin, VOL-, False

I can't really explain myself why some commands work and some don't.

We have been seeing some sporadic behavior with Foobar lately (on some machines), Mitch has done some more testing and tweaking lately, so I recommend you try the new version when it's posted.

Is there for Foobar a line-in plugin to use with Silabs radio?

There's no line-in plugin for foobar yet (only for winamp). However, I don't believe a line-in plugin is required for Silabs as the radio module itself does the same exact job automatically -- and I think there are even options of doing it through DirectSound or Audio Capture. So the question is, why do you need a line-in plugin for Silabs ?

guino, I increase the file buffer to 10,000 but I still get sharing violation popup for certain songs... It has nothing to do with RR but I thought i ask you for a possible solution. i am using the latest foobar2000.

This is an old question. With the standard directsound the audio is played only in the front channel. For this reason I am one of the supporter and beta tester of the line-in audio for the Silabs, ask to Mitchjs. With the audio through WA we obtained the possibility to ear the radio on all the channels, use the equalizer and the visu.

So, because Foobar has a better quality of WA, I think to try it but without lose the new radio feature. But in this case...

hi guys, I installed the foobar plugin yesterday as well as updating the RR. I chose automatic foobar configuration in RR.
Everything works fine as long as I don't choose to play another album. the new playlist is generated but the player doesn't start. Pushing play button doesn't help, it just jumps to the next song.
I have to exit RR and start again and then the playing starts, I can jump to next track and start/stop playing.
foobar standalone works fine. any suggestions?
