the incomming message isn't put in a label because I'm not sure I want to be responsable for a program showing chats while you drive. Thats why I did all this voice stuff. I was thinking though that with gpslockout I could put chats out if you're not moving. Am I being funny or is it valid concern?

I just signed up for skype and can see value in the plugin. I am going to give it a go... Anyone have a LSX VOID skin for it?

when skype receives a call, riderunner tries to open rrskypecall.skin, but cannot find it, does any have any ideas?

I understand your concern, but it up to the end user on just how stupid they want to be. I for instance set the GPSLockout feature to on when the skin is installed. It is up to the end user to turn that off if they wish to. I also put a large disclaimer stating that I will NOT be responsible for using the locked out features while the car is in motion. There my butt is covered

All that being said, I would personally love to see the text put into a label, and be able to see what is received for both testing, and while I am using it here on the desktop computer. I could also add the ability to store the messages, and be able to view them when the vehicle is stopped.

On another note, I finally got a chance to test the latest version posted a few posts back. I have tried many times to send a message via speech, and RR crashes each time. I rebooted, tried again, and the same result.

I opened the skin, fired a command to start listening, spoke a few words, fired the command to stop listening, and about 2 seconds later RR crashes with the standard windows Dialog: RR has encountered a problem and needs to close....

Here is the debug log, which unfortunately does not tell much at all:

I have voice recognition installed and trained of course, using XP Pro SP3, latest Skype, have Jeebes Voice recognition plugin disabled for testing of Skype Plugin.


EDIT: I also just tried the text to speech and can not get that to work either for some reason. I set up a new account on my iPhone, set the language to German, and sent my account that RR is logged into a message.

At the top of the screen, the "RRSKYPE_CURRUSR" switched from being empty, to the name of my account I am using on my iPhone, so it does know there is a message coming in. I hear the "bloop" skype sound when the message comes in as well. However, nothing is spoken.

I could set the label linked to gpslockout. It would only be set if lockout says its ok. If no lock out it wont be set. I think thats safer all round. Its the idiots who tend to sue

Not sure why thats happening. Does the rrskype log give any more details? All it should be doing is passing back a variable. Any ideas what can cause rr to crash around this area? I could try jeebus's dll being there but i dont have it so cant test.

The debug file for rrskype should show the message text recieved if the debug level is set to 5. This will show if it recieves the message. There should be a debug log of what language it finds and tries to translate from. At the moment it doesn't write out debug for the translated text it found but I could add that easily if need be.

have a look in the rrskype debug log and if it doesn't give any clues I can add some extra debug and post a new version
