From the looks of it, the trip distance is calculating the difference in distance from the location where I created my HORM state to my current GPS location and tacking that difference on to the TOTALDISTANCE. I know that the restoration of the copied files is taking place, but it seems as if it's being overwritten on resume with the values at the time I hibernated.
Is there a way to import older maintenance data into your format? Before your plugin, I was keeping track of it via csv file that inlcuded, dates, mileage, cost, & details of the maintenance, repairs & fuel. It would be nice if I could include that info in my carPC so that I have a more complete record instead of starting from scratch.
Thats kinda what its supposed to do. I made it this way so that even when you dont have gps lock the plugin continues to calculate.. then when you have gps lock the distance travelled is added to the trip/total distance labels. Now what seems to be happening is the function that calculates the distance between the point at suspend to the point at first gps lock isnt using the shortest distance between route and thats what throws the total distance way up. So what i'll do is add manual override essentially that will allow you to stop calculation at suspend and resume calculation at resume without taking to effect how much distance was travelled in between. I will also add a prevention that requires the plugin to READ the current distance from the file before overwriting the distance... because thats what it sounds like your HORM installation requires.
as for importing events you've done you can manually add them to history.csv. I dont have any automatic importing stuff written. The format of history.csv is as follows
Code:
<TYPE(MAINTENANCE,REPAIR, or FUEL)>,<MM/DD/YYYY>,<NAME IF REPAIR OR MAINTENANCE MILEAGE IF FUEL>,<MILEAGE IF REPAIR OR MAINTENANCE PRICE PER GALLON IF FUEL>,<COST IF REPAIR OR MAINTENANCE ELSE TOTAL GALLONS IF FUEL>
here's an example of my history.csv
Code:
MAINTENANCE,8/18/2009,test,58350,15.00
MAINTENANCE,8/18/2009,Windshield Wipers,58350,8.99
MAINTENANCE,8/13/2009,Oil Change,58350,22.00
