nope.. cant specify thru RR the date for anything. There's just no clean way to handle it now. You can enter the data into the .ini and the new .csv manually however and that should work.

I think it should be possible if you just specify a format for the date when you enter it: MM/DD/YYYY or whatever. I know that a large part of the world uses DD/MM/YYYY, so whichever one you pick. If the user doesn't conform then it's their own fault. Ideally I'd like to be able to enter in the name of the maintenance item, the date it was done, and the mileage it was done at for each new item, and then have the plugin do all the math.

never said it wasnt possible.. its just a pain in the butt. that would require no less than 3 numosk's along with 3 popup screens telling you what each numosk is for. That puts the number of steps to add a maintenance item at 12. Is it really work THAT many screens to change the date when it would take half the screens to add the information on or around the date the maintenance item needs to be added? I'll have to post a video to show what i mean.

I'm saying just use 1 screen and maybe a custom numOSK that has a "/" key. Then the 1 pop-up say: Enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format, and it's up to the user to enter it correctly.

what about useing RRext cmds like textboxtovar, i use this to enter times ,lon/lat,daylight save all from 1 popup,saves aload of NUMOSK being used all us skinners have to do is make sure the relevant keys are on the said popup,,, or if your worried about the amount of skins just give us the ini save , and we can use what ever cmd we need weather its from rrext or rr its self to complete the task.

Calling sonic... I do still have that idea that i mentioned a few posts ago, that might also be a nice addition, and will probably in the end add it to RRExtended...

Its a "DateOSK" function and is pretty slick I think, its only one additional skin file and you can enter all date info w/o ever leaving the screen...

It's a shame there isn't a Calendar plugin that could pull up , well a calender, and you just click on the day and will then take that as a date input.

that was the way i initially tested it.. and it worked well.. just didnt make sense to make my plugin depend on RRSched and since blue's busy with nearly everything else there wasnt a need for me to bug him about it
