    if the skin is the problem, is just a matter of fixing the skin, is a simple command issue, this PI is compatible with all RR skin's. using the latest RR you wont have any issues.

    not sure if theres another PI like this.

    Having a few issues with this version.

    XP PRO SP3


    RRWifiMan 1.6 works fine

    however RRWifiMan_net seems to run, but has issues getting a complete list of wifi networks and fails to send any onwificonnected command.


    Also where are the settings kept and how do you pull up a settings screen.

    theres a setting to allow you to see all connections

    wifiman_locked ,

    0 = Unlocked networks only
    1 = inc locked networks

    also
    wifiman_nets ,, this allows you to set whay type of connection to search for ..
    0 = infrastructure only
    1 = ad hoc networks
    2 = ad hoc & hidden networks

    as far as i'm aware there is no settings scr,, don't rememeber doing 1 lol...
    but all explained in skin cmds,,, all settings are changealbe on runtime

    Before mitch added the plugin settings to the plugin manager I used to be able to pull up a settings screen I had done for my skins. (actually I'll try making a button to bring up me settings screen again.)


    I think there needs to be settings screen coded into the plugin.


    But where are the settings stored?

    The newer Settings screen for a PI is just a screen called "<pluginname>_Settings.skin" and the btn cmd in the Pluginmgr.skin to open that is "pluginmgr;settings;$DLPLUGINNAME$", opens up what ever plugin's setting screen selected in the list. The load/set/save of settings as always are up to you...

    rr.ini or kin.ini up to you

    i have found this not to be the case for all pi's in the list ,, i added XXXX_settings.skin for 4 pi's in list only 2 worked,,, the other 2 i had to code within the pi code to work

    Did the name of the skin exactly match the name of the PI's? Which ones did you find not to be that case...I think just a improper named skin file is the issue.

    Plugins now have a section for settings and that gets called from the plugin managers settings button, which is fine as my new plugins have this.

    However if there is no settings section in the DLL then the command "load;<pluginname>_settings.skin" is sent.

    However id the plugin has the Settings Subroutine but is left blank the "load;<pluginname>_settings.skin" command is not sent.

    Now seeing as the examples now have the settings subroutine in by default (which is left blank) if the plugin coder has left it blank the back/default "load;<pluginname>_settings.skin" does not get sent.

    Which is now what is happening here.


    It should now be mandatory for developers to have settings screens for their plugins rather than editing ini/xml files.

    main 2 were RRwifiman_net and my own Genesis ,,, as for the settings of RRwifi ,,, i did'nt code it ,,, thats how it is ,, i use skin.ini to save settings ,, RRwifi has not been touched since its release which was well before the PI manager change ,, ,,, i have only just started to use this function in my Gen dll,,, was not going to use it at 1st ,, thought it would confuse the user , how to get to settings scr,,, but slowly changeing all pi's i support to use this function ,,, like my Updater uses Genesis_About.skin now and settings are Genesis_settings.skin ,, but thses cmds are hard coded ,, which as far as i'm aware should not be the case ,,, should just read pi name and load skin file if present ...
