Okay, just noticed that the magnifying glass is missing in IE and FF outside of the plugin also. So it's not an issue with the plugin.

It looks like Google has eliminated the magnifying glass from their homepage in favor of the Google Search button underneath the search box. Unfortunately, clicking that button does not do anything. It's curious that the I'm feeling lucky button next to it does launch a search, though. One would think that if it's an issue with a changed page neither of those buttons would work.

Yes, but the glass only appears on a search results page. It's not shown on the page that appears when I launch the plugin as shown in my post 11. If I enter a search string on that page using a physical keyboard or hit I'm feeling lucky after entering the search string I get a page like shown in your post where the glass appears.

So you're saying that as soon as you enter a letter in the search bar on the original screen it shifts to the search results screen as shown in your post? That's not happening for me. How would I tell the plugin to use a different search/start page?

Okay, I've got it now. I needed to go into Google search settings and tell it to always show instant results. Then when I type anything into the search box on the initial screen the glass appears. Thanks for your help, Mitch.
