Still busy, but I updated the installer for another 30days and for those that already have installed the latest and have the time out issue, just replace the dll file also found in Post#1
Wake Up Commands
Blue, great job....so far im diggin it and finally got DXFVoice running but i have a few questions for you. Just a note, my HDD drive in my mustang frinally crashed after several years. I was running an old version of RR with RRVoice so i finally decided to go windows7 and the latest RR with your plugin for voice. Now to my question.....the wakeup command, with RRVoice you had a greet or several greets for RR to choose from upon startup....is there a way we could incorporate that into DFXVoice? It would definitely gives it a more personable touch. Now i changed my "wakeup" command to "computer"....so when i say "computer" it starts listening and i hear the .wav sound...whereas before when i said "computer" (which was the keyword), there were several dfferent replies it could choose from then i could say the command. Ive gone through DFXVoice and have tried a few things with no luck. Ill play aorund with it somemore, but if you have any info, it would be greatly appreciated, im just excited its up and running...so far so great. Thanks., Trey
If I understand you correctly, what your asking is a way to be able to use a list of different randomly picked replies that it could respond with so that one doesn't hear the same reply every time you wake it up.
Computer.... Can I help you?
Computer.... You Rang
Computer.... Yes Master... LOL
exactly,,,,,,,,below is a bit of the RRVoice file i had......yea, i had my car call me Master Trey, but it worked so well...i also had it so if i got pulled over by a cop, i would say, "Say hello to the officer",when they got to my window ahd she (loquendo susan)would go off on a rant.....this actually worked and got me out of a ticket. The cops were cracking up when they heard it. It gave my mustang a bit of a personality with an attitude, lol! Thanks for the quick response!
Greet="Welcome back Master Trey, its about time!"
Reply2Check="you have new mail from "
Reply2Read="shall I read it?"
Reply2NoMail="you have no new e mail."
NoAppts="you have no up comming appointments."
NoApptsToday="you have no appointments for today."
Reply1=Yes Master Trey, what can I do for you?
Reply2=Your wish is my command, master Trey!
Reply3=What can i do for you Master Trey?
Reply4=Yes master Trey!
Blue you were helping me trying to figure out why RRVoice would not work in the DFX thread.
I am trying to get your plugin DFXVoice working on Windows 7.
I just did a fresh dual boot install of XP & Windows 7.
I use the DFX Skin so this is what I did:
Installed Windows 7 & updates then went into control panel, ease of access, Speech recognition, advanced speech options, RunSpeech recognition at startup is unchecked, made sure microphone was setup & ran a training session. Then I installed Flash,Winamp, RR, DFX skin & updates, DFXVoice plugin, copied over the newer .dll file.
Now if I enable wake/sleep comands in the DFXVoiceEditor it hangs as soon as soon as DFX Skin finishes loading. I can't do anything. I just get a spinning mouse cursor. I have to end RR in the task manager. If I have it disabled I can use RR normaly until I press the microphone then it hangs again.
Testing in carwings works good as long as I disable wake/sleep comands in the DFXVoiceEditor. If I enable it, same thing happens can't do nothing, just a spinning mouse cursor.
Just a little update.

I do have the mobilephone.net plugin and don't have any problems right now either. I know it was brought up before that it was crashing RR with the DFXVoice plugin. But for me it is working.
My problem still remains with Windows 7.
Is it something that I did or didn't do why it is not working in Windows 7? probably! but what? :confused:
Thanks for all your hard work Blue!!
I'm doing something wrong...somebody please point out the obvious to me? I think things are installed to some degree...mic activates, recognizes "music" and launches the player, and I can see the settings screen (in DFX5) via the PluginMgr. The sliders in the settings work, but it never scans my music and the "scan music collection" button doesn't seem to do anything. I try to play a song via voice, but it doesn't recognize it - the XML is empty. Should I be able to start the scan without modifying any skins or loading anything?
(I used to run RRVoice, can't wait to get this working! Fantastic work...)
I believe that IS the problem, combination of W7, DFXVoice, and Mobliephone.net, I know that for sure on a W7 install, but there may not be any issues with both of the plugins when running under XP.

Well, I was gonna say that make sure that you have all the skin updates, but I did notice that even being current, that the scan button in the settings screen has no button defined for it. That is why you cant get it to scan.. I'll get that fixed but in the mean time you could either open up the skintool or make a btn on that screen if you know how and use the cmd "DFXVOICE;STARTSCAN"
