A little thick...maybe. Hehe I had started on the RRMedia integration, but that was it, just started on it, so it works up to getting the artists from RRMedia. Really, it was just a testing to see how well it could work, basically looking for speed comparison between its db and RRMedia's. So just turn off the RRMedia option in DFXVoice and do a scan in DFXVoice if necessary.

I take it the dfxvoice scan is self explanatory. I couldn't see it earlier but will look again tomorrow...

Yes, just need the cmd DFXVoice;STARTSCAN

I've looked into the RRMediaDb a little more and have used the labels in my custom skin to help with the problem. RR is crashing at the point DFXScan is 'creating audio voice command's'. I have reduced my media folder to 2 albums and attached a debug file. Is it my tag format of '01. Sex On Fire - Kings of Leon.mp3' that is likely to be causing problems?

Your problem starts WAY before even worrying about scanning your music...

Looks like you don't have any SAPI installed on this comp or the posted installer, is somehow not right? Seeing this is XP, you did install the SAPI SDK from M$?

My desktop is running Win XP and car is Win7. I've been attempting to get the RRMediaDb build and create a skin on my desktop as the car isn't liking the power drain and didn't think the database build relied on the Voice recognition elements. I eventually got it sorted the scan works now and the "direct play ARTIST.... song SONG" works fine too, apart from I have to scan each time I start the pc to recognise the album or song elements. I'm just going to read back as I remember a recent problem like this. If I can't find anything I'll get a debug from the car this time .

Also, I couldn't get the scan progress slider to work using "DFXVOICE_SCANPROGRESS" as per the documentation, or using "DFXVoice_Scanprogress" as per the skin example.

To keep this simple, until I work on the RRMedia part of this plugin, make sure that this option is OFF and please make no further mentions of it in this thread. I think this will help in keeping from confusing everyone, you, me and anyone reading this. Now if your having RRMedia issue then post those in its thread.

Part of the problem might also be all the missing details that your not giving me. You mention two systems, two OS's, and then talk about issues and that you got it working, but only if you scan it every time you startup the PC... I can only try to help you if you help me by not throwing everything together. Like, "on my XP PC, xxxx" or "on my W7 PC, xxxx". Also, I don't know if you were trying to do any of this over Remote Desktop, which will cause issues as SAPI doesn't like it and that could be all those errors i saw in your posted log.

Sorry Blue.... my bad. I'll just wait for further development with the RRMedia integration.

I have 2 simple questions (I believe for most of you out there).

Not sure if these are implemented into DFXVoice right now but thought I would ask.
I know its still in beta but works great in my opinion. Not sure if the following questions would be something to do with RRMedia or something else that isn't finished yet.

1: I would like to play music sorted by genres. I would like to say "play rock music", "play country music" etc.
2: I would like to say "load disk 1" "load disk 2" etc to load from the virtual disk changer from RRMedia.

If these should work, could someone tell me what the command's would be.
