Correct, it gets the genre listing from the database and creates the cmds from there.

I tried doing fresh installs of DFXVoice by unregistering then runing the uninstaller deleting the folder in the My documents\*\*\ etc/

Now I went ahead and installed an older version of DFXVoice (0.61) over on to top of the new version and the "Scan Music collection" was working again.

What am I doing wrong getting the new version to work properly?

Not sure, but you could attach a log from the plugin.

What size is your System.Data.SQLite.dll file in the main plugin folder? Should be ~853kb, if its over a 1mb then the installer needs fixing as it installed the x64 one instead of the x32 version. And that would probably be the reason that the PI [EXE] is crashing in the background.

just checked and it is 853kb

Just a little update, it still don't work on my carputer with xp but I tried it on one of my home Windows 7 machines and it installed but then it crashed once RR finished loading up but it said I did not have the .net 4.0 installed then I installed it and it and DFXVoice works good on the Windows 7 machine 32 bit.

When I first tried to install the new version of DFXVoice on my carputer XP it knew .net 4.0 wasn't installed and it told me to install it before it even would install it on the xp machine. Just was wondering if I could be missing something with the .net and thats why it crashes but remember it only crashes when Use RRMedia is enabled.

Another update after I saw it was working on my home Windows 7 machine I got brave and installed the mobilephone.net plugin to see if it would work. I thought before (somewhere in this thread) someone was saying it would crash with DFXVoice and Windows 7.
I did not do a lot of testing, I made a couple calls, used DFXVoice a little restarted RR Maybe 5-7 times and it seems like it was working. DFXVoice did crash once like the second time I restarted RR but not sure if that was just a fluke or has something to do with mobilephone or something else.

Can anyone else confirm if mobilephone.net plays nice or not with DFXVoice now?
I was using latest bluesoleil 8.X On Windows 7 32 bit.

I would still like to figure out why it won't work on my XP puter as the computer don't have enough power to run Windows 7 smoothly.

I'll have to db check on an XP install and see if see any crashing. Not likely, but see if there are any updates for .net4 that causing it?

No Wndows updates available on my XP machine. I also did a new Windows XP install with a bare install of Flash, Winamp, RR, DFX 5.1.2 & DFXVoice & Windows updates and still the same problems.

I also wanted to clarify from my previous post on my Windows 7 machine it does work BUT the "Scan Music Collection" still doesnt work on the install either.

Blue, I have a couple questions before I go crazy trying to figure out what is going on.

Should the "Scan Music Collection" still work? Does it make a difference if the Use RRMedia DB is enabled or disabled to get the Scan Music Collection to work? I have tried it either way on XP & Windows 7 with no luck.

Now im talking on a fresh install of DFXVoice (old verision was uninstalled and folders in My Docs & Program Files were removed)
After I install the new version of DFXVoice I immediately go go the sample skin folder and copy over the new skin files into the DFX skin folder, copy the DFXVoice_Settings.xml file to My Documents\RideRunner\Plugins\DFXVoice\ and overwrite the other one whick is about half the size of the new one which is about 50kb or so. So the one that was overwritten was like 25kb or so. I have tried NOT copying over the file and still don't work.

Now I am not sure where I need to put the lines in the SKIN EXECTBL.ini FILE. Where in the DFX Skin Exectbl.ini should I put them? top, bottom under any specific heading in the file? I tried a few different areas with no luck.

Like I said in a previous post I tried on a home puter running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and seems to be working. That computer I already had RR on it 9-1-12 version with DFX skin 5.1.2 with no updates done to the skin (it shows last update was (3-31-12) Now I don't know if I had a previous version of DFXVoice installed. I should of checked but didn't. I installed the latest version of DFXVoice and did nothing else. I did not copy the new skin files, DFXVoice_Settings.xml or add the lines to the DFX Skin Exectbl.ini file. This computer seems like it is working with the commands like "Music" "What Time is It" "Play Artist XXX" and "Play XXX Music"

On my car PC XP I tried this was of installing and like the ones listed above with no luck.

Do you think this can be a hardware isue causing my problems?

Finally got around to installing this great plugin. Everything seems to be working well except I am unable to get the XML editor to work. If I edit or add any commands and hit apply I get an unhandled exception error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" with the notes shown on the attached. In addition, the save and update road runner buttons remain grayed out. It happens on both machines on which I have loaded the plugin. XP SP3 - Up to date DFX - 09/01 RR.
