Apparently Blue is not only a genius when it comes to coding, but he also has superb taste in music.
LoL!
I do listen to some country, a very limited amount.... I listen just just about everything, but mostly dance/techno/pop
Looks like it is a great day in history (or yesterday :) DFXVoice is now in released section, Yeah!!
I did just a few quick tests last night and used the play pop music cmd. The first time it was a bit slow bout 12 secs to music playing (RR had been running idle in the background for about a day). So I restarted it and the same cmd gave me music in less than 3 secs, talking about 13k song loaded playlist! Tried that cmd a few times and had no issues/crashing here.
Blue, maybe you out to make the description of DFX Voice in the plugins forum something like "DFXVoice - a voice control plugin for all Riderunner skins". I know you say that in the first post, but I'm guessing that a lot of people who are not using the DFX skin (what's wrong with those people anyway?) may skip right over it and never get to the first post when they see DFX in the plugin description.
I'm having great success with the "Play [Genre] music" command, the "Play Artist [artist]" command and all RR commands. It's the direct play commands that are causing me problems. Last night on the way home every time I clicked a song on the multiple song screen, about thirty times, RR crashed. Strange. I have reinstalled everything, made sure all XP updates are installed, uninstalled any programs and plugins I'm not using and disabled in Task Manager all non-essential programs without success.
Also, about a third of the time when I say "Direct Play [artist][ding][ding]song[song name] it does not play the song or go to the multiple songs screen. Typically, the listening overlay either stays on the screen until I cancel or disappears by itself, but nothing happens. I do notice that in these cases it has loaded the artist songs into the playlist, but it doesn't go to the requested song. I know these songs are there and properly tagged. I'm curious whether apostrophes, commas or other punctuation in the song title tags makes any difference.
I have another box with a similar setup (XP SP3) so I'll see if I have the same issue with that.
I'm curious what OS you used when developing this plug. I know Michael is not having these issues on his Win7 box.
This plugin is great except a couple small issues im having. Since the new version I only had 1 crash saying play xxx music except the country music one which crashes half the time or more.
I also wanted to let you know I think the XML editor still needs a little fixing. In the screen section it still gives the same error as before. The Global section is working good.
A day or so ago I posted a 4-5 min video to youtube showing off the different commands and never had a single hicckup :)
Here is an example of me going through some of the different commands and see what happens at the end :(
"I" did make a mistake saying one of the commands in the middle though.

Most certainly not...
Just a thought.. :)
From the little more testing I have done now on XP. It seems like my full blown crash with my country music in win 7 now in XP, DFXVoice will just stop responding, no error messages. I just have to close RR and open it up again for it to work again.
It looks like the Chicago meets were a no go this year :(
See what happens when I move away :)
