So again, why not the higher/lower quality streams?

    Beats me. Is there a way to see what the web page quality option passes to the player? Perhaps we just aren't passing the correct parameter.

    I'll ask around with the PandoraMediaBox author and see what he says. I swear I hear a difference in the truck between the mobile and HQ settings...but on my dev box I'm not so sure. I have to remember that Pandora is not streaming media in the same sense that Shoutcast or TuneIn radio is. The data stream you receive will arrive at whatever your max available bandwidth is, regardless of the quality setting. The only way to determine if you got a 64,128 or 192kbps file is to compare the amount of data received, not how fast it arrived.

    I'll report back if I hear anything definitive.

    Cheers!

    I found a bug. I keep getting an error message about daily limit reached and to upgrade to pandora premium. I already have pandora one, how do I get the error message to stop?

    Well what were you doing to GET the message? that message can only occur if your sending requests to pandora's server. So more than likely you were either adding a channel, listening for a long time (several hours, pandora requires you to keep the stream "awake"), or pressing play/pause a lot causing the stream to become invalid? Send me the debug log (found in %MYDOCUMENTS%RideRunner\Plugins\RRPandora).

    Sonic, I found another problem.

    When adding / creating a new station the keyboard skin comes up and says "Enter the name of an artist or a song", the problem occurs when you try to clear out the text using "CLEARTEXT" command (not available in the current elite 2 alpha keyboard).
    It gives you a Microsoft .NET Framework error. I can get around the current problem by using the "Backspace" command for now.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
    I will correct the error, but there is no need to cleartext. Simply use the osk to enter the search criteria and the header message will disappear.

    Just to reiterate what the documents says for people creating skins for this plugin, you must run the command RRPANDORA to initialize the plugin and get your music playing. Just loading the skin file wont start playback. Get several PMs per week asking this question so hopefully this will help alleviate issues.

    0.7.4 is up and fixes the osk if user uses CLEARTEXT or otherwise modifies OSK text outside of using the OSK buttons.

    I'd like that thank you for open sourcing the library. Justin wrote our Pandora pluign before but when he disappeared so did the code as he had never checked it in. I have debated converting other people's libraries in the past but have never done it. Having a common library that everyone on mp3car is using is awesome.

    yea doing that was bit of a learning experience for me, having never used Git before. I will be uploading a new build sometime this week, though it will have only very minor changes. Everything appears to be working for now.
