ive tried that too. thats what i originally had. and no its not duplicated in either of the files and it exists in only one of the two. anyway, if i run ratecheck.exe, it works. so your plugin is fine. well, almost fine, cuz it rates unrated songs with the rating of the most recent rated song. i personally think its somethin to do with that command. i agree the coding all looks good. i dont get why it wont work. it just seems like the ONSONGSTART command doesnt do anything. do u think you could do a zero star playlist? that would solve my problems. but then there is the problem of running ratecheck.exe after every song change. hm. more thinking to do..

ive been doing some debuggin (decompiled the exe and looked at it)
$musicpath gets the right information : d:\music\
$musiccddrive picks up : d:
$playlistpath picks up d:\program files\road runner\playlist\
$track shows up as blank
$trackpath shows up as blank
so from the looks of it this line is wrong/not working
$track = $rr.GetInfo("trackpath")

looks like I accomplished something
as of now rating a song creates a new m3u file, AND writes d: to it.
not much but hey at least its something

well no matter what I do.
$rr.GetInfo("trackpath")
Is not pulling the information. This could be a problem with roadrunner itself, maybe trackpath varible is broken.
GetInfo("=$TRACKPATH$")
doesnt work either

well trackpath works as a varible in RR.
So it has to be some obscure com/activex issue. I give up

you know I was thinking.
Wouldn't it be better to use SENDMSG to send the trackinfo to the autoit script. instead of trying to get the script to pull it out of RR?
I'm off to spend some time with the wife. So cant play with this. Best of luck.
