I think I've got it sorted now.

Festy: Woot! That appears to have done it. Is locking the screen on a -1 here, and with set to 5 is allowing it. Will test in the car with GPS here in the next couple days!

That is strange that the Error Rad Runner's Debut was coming up with was a file not found due to a variable setting in the code.

ok in the car it works, however, if the car is not moving (at a red light) I can start the video player and a movie plays. When the car starts moving, the movie still plays.

If I touch the screen to bring up the video player like to turn vol up or down, then the motionlock denied screen appears and then it does not play any movies.

What I see is it is not stopping (blocking) the movie playing once it has already started before the car starts moving.

Figure I let you know.

Using GPS Gate here with the trial, (THanks for the tip guys).

I am not having that problem with the new version posted this morning. If I set my speed to 0, the go to video it works fine, I stop the simulation, reset the speed to 20 MPH, and re-start the sumulation, about a second later the video disappears and the "Disabled screen" pops's up.

So for here, at least, all is working perfectly! Thanks for a VERY useful, and safety conscious plugin for sure!

Can you try adding another skin into the 'black list' in the ini - anything at all, ie equalizer and see if that one closes when you drive off?

ok tried it in the car. any skin in the 'blacklist' i chose the audio_player.skin, about 4 to 5 seconds on that screen the denied skin appears.

on the video part, if the video player skin 'is' showing on the screen, then the denied skin appears.

If the video player skin is not there and the video is playing, (you know disappears so the video is full screen) the video keeps playing unless you touch the screen to bring up the video skin, then it auto kicks in the denied skin.

right, so maybe there's something a bit funny about the skin name RR is reporting when the skin is hidden...

Can you give this dll a go? It will write a logfile of the rr screen name reported once a second to $rrpath$\screen.log.

Just fire up the video_player, wait for the controls to hide, then give it a few seconds before closing then look at screen.log to see if it's still reporting as video_player.skin when the controls are hidden.
