This is there error I was getting using the released RREarth.

It was fixed using the DLL from http://www.rrdownloads.net/BETA/RREarth.dll.
Make sure to re-register the DLL by running Register.bat.

I also noticed that your log file has that error twice, so I assume you have the X,RREath line twice in your menu.skin. Remove the second occurance.

NOW IS WORKING..the next skill..... is... when load the screen in the GE a menssage pop up say...Cant open the file c:\windows\system32\ net.klm sintasis error line 2...bla..bla.... and the bottons is hide....I think that is for the skin but I dont sure..

Guino: Are you going to re-release with the beta .dll and "@%windir%\system32\regsvr32 RREarth.dll" in the bat file? I'd also still like the option to have GPS dissabled on startup. I understand now that it would be difficult for you to allow the Left-Nav to be turned on and off, so I won't hold my breath for that one. It is so cool to use RREarth with GooPs. You guys will love my freedom skin for it.

I intend to add an option to start the GPS off, don't worry.

@banderas2000: sounds like you're not running the latest GoogleEarth or you did not unzip ALL FILES of the zip archive in the same place -- please download the Zip file again, unzip it wherever you want, THEN download the DLL linked above over the one you unzipped and re-register it.

wait so we are still using the contents in the .zip file? Thats probably what my issue is then. i thought since you converted to the .dll and the zip hasnt been updated along with the dll the zip was obsolete. i'll try that and see if that fixes that error message.

Installed the new DLL and works great!

Question: is there a way to change the weight and color of the route after you plan a destination ? It's a purlple line and kind of thin and makes it hard to see.

I am unsure, those would be options in GoogleEarth -- if you can set them up outside RR, they should be the same when using it inside RR.

OK, complete RRearth newbie here and I have just read 18 pages of comments and kinda understand what its all about LOL

Downloaded the zip and installed the dll, modded the menu.skin and changed the DVD button to run the command GE_START.

Clicked it, a garbled voice spoke to me and nothing happened.

Downloaded the test dll and reregistered and wow, something happened

1. When it opens Google Earth it is outside of any roadrunner frame/skin
2. The window heading (Google Earth Plus) can be seen (hey, I never bought Plus!) and the standard menu items (File, Edit, View etc). BUT they can't be clicked on
3. If I click in the top left corner the square MENU button appears folowed by the rest of the RR skin/frame BUT the Windows Task Bar then appears.
4. GPS is locked and GE takes me to my current location but if I zoom or change angle it resorts back to 500 feet and straight above when I release the button (may be GE behaviour) BUT in the menu bar it shows Car: N/A amd Out: N/A - what do they mean/do?

1... Not sure if you mean the GE panel here, in that case it is moved off the screen on the left side.
2... Go into the RREarth folder and if you have your GPS active, then double click the GPS.kml file, this will bring GE up without RR running . This is how I tested and setup GE. I'm running the 10/29 version and it's worked great so if it isn't broken don't fix it is my motto, can't tell you about the later versions.
3... In RR config there are settings to view taskbar, mouse, icons etc. I have mine setup to not view the taskbar.
4... In the docs of RRearth and posted here by guino he states that you can change the active status of GE by the .ini files located in the RRearth folder. I would suggest reading that again. Last part, The Car: N/A and Out: N/A are on the standard BMV skins which if you have phidget/sensors setup it can read the inside and outside (ambient) temperature around the vehicle.

I would suggest you read and read and read the readme and command.txt files that come with RR. These are invaluable!

SteveC, you should try the latest DLL on www.rrdownloads.net/BETA/RREarth.dll -- download/register it without removing any of the other files. It should work better without any changes.

OK, I think I found one of the problems - this is skinned for 800*600 and I'm running 800*480 so when it loads RREARTH2.skin the buttons drop off the bottom. I'll try editing the .skin to make it work on 480
