Ok,, guino and other people say that google earth cache file is not forever, maybe are protected, but.. what happend if all times that start google earth we quit internet conection for a moment, or writte some program that block google earth conection?

All times google earth can work offline, with our cache files.........

But how can block google earth conection only, and leave all other internet apps normally?

well you can block it using the winXP firewall

I have confirmed this does happen, I just make sure never to start/run GE when internet is available at the car -- I also keep a copy of the Index file for the cache (less than 2mb) just in case I forget, then I can restore it in case I messed it up by going online.

The Firewall solution should also work, but I don't think XP's firewall has enough settings for that.. there are other free firewalls that should work.

forgive me if this is a stupid question, but thsi plugin would only be good for seeing where you are, not necessarily navigating and getting directions (which would require an internet connection, correct?)

Guino.... the old rr.exe work fine in Windows Vista, but last RoadRunner.exe dont work in windows Vista. Windows Vista Say:

Seems that you're missing some files -- download/install the VB6 Runtimes posted on the FAQs and try again.
