Thread: Needed: BETA Testers for Google Earth Plugin

This thing is great, and runs great in my car. It's a show, but what a show. I bought an external antenna for the 3G network just to use it better...

Works Pretty good so far. I may need to skin something different from the standard LSXVoid skin for directions. Seems counter intuitive.

I noticed when not remote desktoping into my carpc that when it embedds into the LSXvoid Skin (havent tried any other skin) it wont take up the full amount of space allotted. Basically it won't stretch to fit.

I am running 800x600 resolution on a 7" liliiput.

Anyone have any ideas?

I am retarded... Running it at full screen outside of RideRunner did the trick.

I have two other questions though.

Is there a way to adjust the transparancy of the roads... It seems that certain zoom levels make the road overlay dissapear entirely.

Also, When getting directions is there a way automatically populate the first address box with your current GPS coordinates?

You can make a button that fills in the variable (SETVAR) with "GPS Position" -- that basically makes the plugin use the current GPS position as your location for that box -- it works for BOTH the TO and FROM address boxes.

Can Someone post a screenshot of how Road Only Mode looks? I am playing with the skin but i cant notice any appriciable differnce when i choose roadmode

Can you post a zip of what your .skin file has for the textboxes ? basically this would just be a SETVAR;MYVAR;GPS Position -- where MYVAR is whatever is used for display of the TO/FROM boxes.

From what i can tell they arent text boxes but buttons.

Basically the way that i want it to work is for the first text box or button (when i tap on it) it populates with current GPS position (instead of going directly to the OSK)

For the Second Text box i will need to type an address so i do want it to go to the OSK like it usually does however as soon as i hit enter on the OSK the menu is gone and i have to click on the menu button again to bring it back so if i could avoid doing that I may actually use it navigation
