Tried testing the plugin but ended up with the following 2 errors.
The .dll is registered with regserv and the skin commands added.
Nice work.
Haven't tested the plugin yet but seeing you have allready made the 2 wire option in (steering wheel) working I now have most off my setup in order.
Suggestion:
Wouldn't it be quite easy to use one or both the analogue port as temperature sensors. The LM35 would be a nice choice but if opamp is needed I don't know.
Found this article in Elektor.
Opamps the 0-1V range to go to 0 - 5V.

Fixed!
Just moved the k8055d.dll to the roadrunner folder.

Hello, just fixed my carpc and started experementing with K8055 and this plugin..
I was wondering, can this plugin execute a command on button press and another when this button is depressed?
What I'm thinking to do is wire my 12v reverse through a relay to a digital input of the board. When it is triggered I'll have a MUTE command but when it is released is there a way to issue a MUTE command again?
The same goes for the car's doors.. Mute when open, unmute when closed...
Excellent plug-in, i actually bought the K8055 board after seeing this.
Everything on the skin loads OK etc, but the skin buttons don't seem to activate the board, well the LEDs on the board don't light when the skin button is pressed.
I have the rrk8055.dll and .ini in the RR directory with the k8055d.dll in the system32 directory with both DLLs registered.
I'm running version 08/10/06 (latest) of RR, is this the right version or do i have to use the beta version?
Any ideas?
Many thanks.
Steve

If I recall correct, it does need of the latest beta...
Why have you registered it twice? Use regsvr32 -u rrk8055.dll to unregister it, delete the copy in system32 and register again the one in the RR dir... Should work that way... Btw have you checked that the kit number is 0 (shorted SK5,SK6) ?
I have one of these K8055's sitting around somewhere. How would I go about performing a different command based on an analog input value?
I want to use it for steering wheel buttons on a 2-wire resistive circuit. Would I have to connect one wire to the A1 and the other to GND, are any voltages required or is this handled by the K8055?

You will need to put one wire to the analog in (channel 2) and the other wire to a voltage that makes the voltage on the analog in between o and 5 volts depending on the button pressed. You could use a 5volt source but probably a 12 volt source with an additional resistor will do the trick aswell. The ground has to be the ground of the power source you supplied to the second wire. Can make a drawing if you wish.

You will need the latest beta for the indicator click functionality and the sliders for the analog in and outputs. The skin will not give you an error if the board was not found. Please check the jumpers on you board. By default is board address 0 (both jumpers placed). Check if the RRK8055.DLL and the k8055d.dll are in the roadrunner dir and register them using regsvr32.exe <dllname>
Hope this helps
