There are several references to text input into the i-bus system. Has anyone developed a way to get street names or directions to scroll from iGuidance. I would like to keep my OEM radio and place the touchscreen in the sunglass cubby - problem is my fiance keeps looking down at the screen b/c iGuidance doesn't provide audible alerts of street names like other GPS programs - it would be wonderful if the name of the next turn could scroll across the radio or main dash read out. The main issue you will have is getting the info out of iGuidance. have search on the forums for various hacks that have been done for iGuidance. If there are any that can get the info out then there are a couple of threads about writing to the diplays via iBus.

Hey all.. great interface.. im going to use your ibusrr program to control the HD radio project we recently got working. However, do we have any idea how to get information into RR.. Such as the feedback from the CD Changer or HD Radio unit.. i can see in the ibus analyzer the raw data but i would love to be able to see the actual text being sent back to the radio..

Any ideas?

hey guys, i finally got the carpc project up and running.. i actually am waiting for a custom S.S. case at the moment..

but anyhow, i will purchasing the serial version of the ibus adaptor.. was wondering how far this project has gone ?? Enforcer, i am currently using your idrive skin.. hows the add-on comming along for the E46 controlling the window/trunk and so on ?? would love to incorporate that to my many goodies ..

anyhow, some feedback would be great i cant wait to join the ibus community and start exploring.. do you guys know about the instrument cluster hidden diagnosis feature ?? where it gives you the basic diagnosis reports of ur vehicle ? if so anyone find out how to incorporate that into RR ?? would be great, to have that incorporated into the Idrive skin, under car spec.. ??

Anyone worked out a nice string of commands that will make the e46 lights flash like in ilights? I'd love to put in a button on lsxvoid's interface for fun.
