    Nooooooooooooooooo

    Don't do anything that silly.

Opening windows and flashing lights is one thing, but messing with the cruise control is a big no no as far as I am concerned.

Anyone figured out how to just send "on" and "off" light commands? I've seen flashing commands, and even some that will turn a single light on for 10 seconds. But no LCM type control codes?

Unless I didnīt understand your question Iīll answer this one before you get *****slaped by the usual suspects on this forum...

At the opposite end of the USB plug on your adapter you have 4 pins:

    GND : connect to ground
+12V : connect to +12V(switched) (if you connect it to +12V constant your car may start acting up)
    IBUS : connect to IBUS
NTSC : donīt worry about this one, if you do go here

you can find this wires on the adapter at the back of your head unit that looks like this: (the female one)
    GND is number 15 (brown)
    +12V(switched) is number 5 (violet/white)
    IBUS is number 7 (yellow)

go here and to E46fanatics for more

I would recommend getting a BMW adapter to avoid messing up the wires in your bimmer adapter.

Make sure you REALLY canīt find the answer before you ask.
Iīve been exactly where you are and I found it!

This is information that I found on the web and worked for me. You should always double check before messing with your car wiring. I donīt want to be responsible if you lit your bimmer on fire!!!

There is a website with the information on it for the IBUS lights. I have used them by customising the IbusRR skin. www.hacktheibus.com
Very good list of codes there. All tested on E46 and work.
    Thanks,
    Paul.

    Hi Guys,

Hopefully your all still subscribed to this thread

Did anyone else have strange beaviours from the e46's when the car pcs were off?

for example i left mine unplugged from the computer, but left in the ibus connector

My indicators didnt work, or make any noise at all, interiours lights didnt work including the ones in the speedo panel, so in the dark you cant see anything, as soon as a unplug the interface everythings normal again, very dangerours!

Also you may wanna read this to prevent urselfs doing what i done today ibus frys my laptop?

I had the same problem and I fixed it by switching 12v constant to 12v ignition or vice versa to the ibus controller and all went back to normal.
