Radiotrib has been in email contact with the owner of hacktheibus and he is willing to pass on the data, if he still has it, and when he has time. So maybe.


However I want to try and collate as much as possible from all possible sources including here.

Is anyone using this with StreetDeck?

Seing as it's an RRplugin I doubt it.

However it depends on whether SD can send user specified commnads to an external app. If so, then it might work.

I managed to find a copy of an old ibuscomm before it was modified, the help txt file, seems to have all of the codes commented out including navigation/idrive codes

Well it's a bit quiet over there, getiing quite a few [people joining but no one posting.

If you have any Ibus Info the by all means pop over there and post it in the iBus section.

Any chance it can be posted here? Trying to figure out Resler's iBus and how to mount it to my car and get everything working, but I have no idea where to start. Still searching 'ibus' on the site, but really not getting anywhere. Any chance someone can post a picture of how the interface works between the car and the computer also?

If you have the 232 version just plug it into the serieport on your carpc. Then connect the ibus connection with a wire to the IBUS cable in your car. I think it's white/yellow in all BMW. At least it's white/yellow in E39.
Connect the GND and +12V to your CarPC. Yellow and black cable. Then just download IbusRR and put it into startup menu.

In my E39 touring I have connect the IBUS cable in the left back side in the trunk. There is a plug with three cables. One of them is yellow/white.

GND is number 15 (brown)
+12V(switched) is number 5 (violet/white)
IBUS is number 7 (yellow)

Now you are done and you can test and adjust the volume from your steering wheel.
