However I want to try and collate as much as possible from all possible sources including here.
I think we have all the ones from HackTheIbus plus the e39 MID/Nav/Steering Wheel ones from the Norwegian hackers, and the Mini steering whel codes. They are all on your http://www.bmw-carputers.co.uk web site in the iBus Core Repository thread here :-

I've heard nothing bak from the owner of the HacktheIbus domain name since the initial exchange of e-mails.

Is there any other way I can send commands to ibusrr without using RR? I am running FreeICE but I could use girder to send messages to ibusrr. Would this work? Is there an interface for this like ibuscomm or is that stripped out? I added SetVisible=True and AppCaptionSendEventTo="FreeICE" but those options don't seem to do anything in this version. I realize it's meant for RR but I really want to send messages to my ibus and the only way I can control FreeICE is through send message since it doesn't support hotkeys yet.
Is there a version of ibuscomm that will work better for me?

It's in there, this one is a slight modification of the Sama/DarthTater version, using the RR Com object to repair the scrolling text. I'm sure Skully will be able to help you out with interfacing to FreeICE.

Thanks! But can this one send ibus commands too?

Hey, Why does this run roadrunner automatically? I don't know anything about VB so I can hack scripts but I can't find anywhere that tells it to load roadrunner.

Oh!, haven't tried that, let me have a look

    Hmm, so it does.

There are threefour ways around this.

    1. edit the source and remove (comment out) all references to RoadRunners SDK

    2. Read a variable fromt the ini (RoadRunner=Trye/false) then only reference RR's SDK if true

    3. Have a line detecting if RR is running and only reference RR lines id true.

    4. Don't have roadrunner installed on pc

1-3 would then need a new exe compiled.

Thanks. Since I don't have the source code for ibusRR I thought I could edit the one radiotrib posted to send messages to FreeICE instead of Roadrunner. I changed all the references to RR I could find but can't figure out why it's trying to run RR on load.
I really want to be able to send messages to my ibus too but I'd be happy just getting my steering wheel controls working for now.
I was able to control my ibus using Com Tool and ibusRR. I could probably use girder to send messages to ibusRR and get it to do stuff but I just need ibusRR to send messages to FreeIce instead of RR.
