Question :

Is it possible to detect whether the windows, sunroof or trunk are open or closed via the iBus?

I'm thinking of having toggle buttons down the LHS with indicators on the car for whether they are open or closed.

I'll do a mock up later today when I am at home.

Technically YES it's possible but you have to send a request (probably by spoofing DIS device) and to interpret the answer
two things that hasn't been found yet

(at least not on www.hacktheibus.com nor yahoogroups)

I assume then that when you send the codes it opens the window fully or closes it fully. or does it stop part way in between?

Looks a really cool feature to have, i have a few other things to fix up on my install first, but at some point i will get that hooked up and in there!

it opens the window about 1/3 way, so iBusRR sends the code 2-3 times for the windows to fully open/close

this is customizable in the .ini file

I have been playing around a few months. Maybe you can help me with this. I have my OEM radio inside the glovebox. I use the auxiliary input connected to my CarPC. I switch between Radio-AUX-CD so I need to open the glovebox to press the "Mode" button. With the plugin you have developed I think it could be possible to forced the switch without openning the glovebox. Could you tell me how?
I have found that the IBUS Code for press "mode" button is C0 06 68 31 00 00 0B 94 and release "Mode" button is C0 06 68 1 00 13 4B C7

Is it possible to include these codes un IbusRR.ini and do a sendmsg from RoadRunner? In that case, how does it work? I mean press and release. Do I have to send a press and release codes togheter?

use those commands in your skin along with the .ini file I posted below

"SENDMSG;iBusRR;MODE_PRESS"
"SENDMSG;iBusRR;MODE_RELEASE"

you will have to send them seperatly for a greater chance to work
