I think I understand what you mean, Biggles.

As long as you can trace the messages it does not matter where they come from. Just create another entry as on Enforcers link.

But not all buttons are made visible to the IBus from a BMW headunit. A bit of a dissapointment maybe, that if you select next song on CD changer you see it on ibus but not if you do the same on internal CD.

Anyways; trace your messages with IBusAnalyzer or alike.

have a look at CDR's iBus to RR program.
Yes, that's definitely more like it - I'll look into that. From the initial looks of it it does lack one very nice feature of ibusRR: Per-skin assignment. But maybe that can be achieved in other ways.

Feature request: iBusRR obviously supports a subset of what I want as it handles steering wheel buttons. Generic input support la CDR's program would be very nice.

Well I should be changing my non-MF button steering wheel for a MF button steering wheel soon, so have a look at doing my own plugin combining the two features. (hopefully). But don't hold your breath as I have a lot on my plate at the moment.

    Thank you!

@daregone: if you're able to send and receive commands to the ibus (i.e. ibuscomm) you should be able to do this
I'm using reslers interface which is working great
I also have the resler interface, which I used for the five serie e39.
Do you if this wil work for the 7 serie e65 ?

    ibussrr voltage

Sorry if I missed it, but is there a way to display battery voltage with iBussRR?
I would love to have current voltage on the main screen along with outside temp...
    Thanks!

Pressing Volume + most of the times fires two volume up commands. Using IbusAnalyser I see that the I bus is sending to Volume + messages very quickly (in 50-70ms).

Is there a parameter to ignore the second message or to specify what the repeat interval is before firing another RR command?

How do other live with it - especially volume buttons are too quick when used in another context, such as scrolling in audio browser mode

In the iBusRR.ini there is a setting 'InterMsgDelay' I have mine set to 31 and I am not experiencing any repeat commands. Have you tried increasing this value?
