Hi,
itīs very interesting, because I have an E46, too. But please tell me which interface you are using. At Reslers I can see that there are 2 interfaces - serial and usb. Which one ist better, or do they work same?

serial is better for hibernation. and also the fact that you wont' need a driver

assuming you have a spare serial port on your PC.![]()
Hi,
No, that is wrong.
You can easily send text messages to the instrument cluster; have a look at http://carx.dl.am, this software does exactly this (and a lot more...)
I don't know the exact message at the moment, but you can log it easily or find it somewhere in the net.

can you send me a screenshot of it on a E46? I know it can be done easily on an E39 (codes are available on www.hacktheibus.com) but I never saw it on an E46 OBC
guys i plan to place my oem radiocd to the trunk, and control it via carpc. Is it possible ?are there commands that i can use to <<extract>> radiocd's screen information and use it at a skin? so to see at what frequency it is tuned
the frequency is displayed on the MID in E39's and by the posts above it seems that it's possible to pick that up from E46's too. so theoretically yes you can pick that up via the ibus. though I haven't seen this in a plugin/standalone app yet.

ok, i will give a try at hacktheibus.
Got my Ibus controller from Resler today. I've got the serial version since Sama told me it was the best choice. Now just find a way to hook the thing up and get it working. Will have to do some reading on Hacktheibus. I didn't do much research so far because I didn't had the module yet. So now I've got some catching up to do. Will keep you guys updated on any progress I make.
