I just installed the Resler adapter in my E46.

The steering wheel control are working with RR but:

here are the issues:

if computer turned off
Blinkers, high beams, door ajar etc etc lights on the dash don´t work.
The blinkers don´t make any sound. (tic tac tic tac)
The wireless entry doesn´t work at all. (as well as the alarm)
The DSC (traction control) light stays on if turned on.

Also, just this morning, I turned off the PC, stayed in my car for a bit
with keys in the ignition, I could ear the annoying ¨beep beep¨ sound but
when I took the keys out of the ignition the sound kept going on even
with all door closed. When i turned the car back on it finally stopped !

Lights and sounds are working.
The DSC light still gets stuck once on.


If I lock the car and wait about 30-45 minutes, everything (at least the keyless entry) seems to be working again.


I´m using the USB Resler adapter
I powered it with 12V always on (should I switch to on/off 12 V ?)
It seems that when the computer is off the Resler adapter kinda mess up the whole Ibus communication in the car.

I have attached the Ibuscomm.ini file. (I added a .zip extension to upload it, it´s not a .zip file)
There´s a lot of info I´m not using in it.
I don´t have a head unit (directly hooked up the PC to the car amp), I don´t have GPS, CD changer or anything special.
Should I clean it up and leave only (for now) the steering wheel control commands. I´d like to add the lights and windows command later on.


Has anybody ever heard of this, does it make any sense?

This I suspect would cause those problems. try switching to powering off the ACCs

@ Enforcer : BINGO that was it! thanks man! it kind of makes sense...

@WaRFIELD : is there any real difference between iBusRR and iBuscomM ?

Right now I use iBuscomM. If I wanna use iBusRR can I just overwrite and that´s it or will I have to spend another 1/2 hour all crunched on my passenger floor trying to figure things out on a 7in screen. (It´s not really hard to set up but not exactly ¨plug and play¨ and the ibus is the only thing you can not setup inside your house since you kinda need your car. I wouldn´t want to mess up my wife´s rug with my bimmer sitting on it...) lol.

Now that can be taken one of two ways, which one will you get (that's to all readers not just jeep).
